Enjoyed a cracking 2017 and comes here on the crest of a wave after three wins since January. This course brings the best out of him but he faces his toughest test for a while under a 6lb penalty for last week's win over C&D.
Has won from an 8lb higher mark on the AW in the past and is currently in good form. Whether this trip will bring the best out of him is very debatable but ground should suit though.
A little unpredictable but very effective at this course and still on a handy mark. Never won with soft in the going description though.
Ready winner on the AW at Chelmsford (7f) latest and notable he is proven on the predicted ground. Handicapper taken no chances with him though and he needs to up the ante from 9lb higher this time around. Does get on well with today's pilot.
Winner at Epsom (7f, good) around this time last year and decent claims from a 1lb lower mark. Recent form has dipped but Malcolm Saunders' mare is a previous C&D winner, so very dangerous to underestimate. One to bear in mind.
Won over C&D from a 2lb lower mark in May but seems to have lost his way a little since then. Gelded since last start, so interesting to see if that is reflected in the betting but another with something to prove just now.
In good heart on the AW earlier in the campaign but it's been over three years since her last win on turf and her lack of consistency can be frustrating. Chance on the pick of her form but comes with risks attached.
Previous C&D winner and should have no issues with the predicted ground but still faces a stiff test on these terms and isn't too hard to overlook from 5lb out of the weights.

Forecasts
Black Caesar (2/1), King Of Swing (3/1), Field of Vision (11/2), El Torito (8/1), Habbad (8/1), Sarangoo (10/1), Live Dangerously (10/1), Good Luck Charm (12/1), East Coast Lady (14/1)
SARANGOO is back on a workable mark and is forwarded as a sporting option now she is back on course that seems to suit her well. The mare won't mind any rain getting into the ground and her proven ability to act with plenty of give underfoot is a very positive tool given the turbulent weather forecast. Black Caesar is a very obvious danger and merits respect despite facing a stiff test on these terms. King Of Swing is also worth bearing in mind as he will also appreciate getting his toe in. Field of Vision is feared but has a question answer regarding the trip.
- Sarangoo
- Black Caesar
