Left all previous form behind when scoring by 6L at Southwell 12 days ago. Needs to find a bit more at these weights and Southwell form does not always translate to other circuits.
€140,000 purchase at the breeze-ups for a yard with a good crop of youngsters. Bred to be suited by further than this and hard to derive any pointers from his debut when the ground was on the soft side.
Has the speed as suggested in his pedigree but an inability to quicken has been finding him out. On these terms and with his rider's claim he should go close, but there has to be a fear one of his rivals will prove too good.
Split two 80+ rated horses at Windsor last time. Dam was an AW winner and her progeny have a good AW record. Looks the one to beat if there are no significant concerns relating to a three month absence.
Career best effort came when romping home over C&D last month. Well supported when flopping in the Lingfield mud a week later. Should be seen to better effect here and the support she has been attracting suggests she is well regarded.
Improving with each run but the form of her latest effort has been devalued since and suggests her current BHA rating overestimates her. If that is the case she faces a tough task.
Beaten an aggregate of more than 30L in two starts and facing an equally difficult task in this. Hard to recommend.
800 gns daughter of Aussie Rules out of a dam who was a moderate winning sprinter. Stable going through a quiet spell and have few debut winners.
Marginally better over C&D last time but it was an effort that still leaves her with a mountain to climb in this company.
£18,000 daughter of Kodiac with speed in the pedigree. Never a factor on debut when last of 12 and switch to the AW needs to have dramatic results.
€5,000 daughter of Captain Gerrard out of a speedy dam who had winning form on an AW track. Missed the break when last of nine on debut when the ground may have been against her. Wears a hood for the first time.
Forecasts
Midsummer Knight (5/2), Expecting (7/2), Hello Girl (4/1), Royal Diplomat (9/2), Bakht Khan (11/2), Arizona Mist (15/2), Violet Beauregarde (50/1), Peas On Earth (50/1), Calvin's Gal (100/1), Poppy Jag (100/1), Kylie Style (100/1)
Royal Diplomat was highly impressive last time but he could be vulnerable under a penalty on this faster surface. Expecting will be thereabouts but his lack of a finish may prove his undoing and HELLO GIRL may find him out. She romped home following significant support here last month and soft ground caught her out next time. The form of that victory makes her the one to beat on these terms with the biggest threat coming from Midsummer Knight. Mick Channon's charge split a useful pair last time but a three month absence raises concerns.
- Hello Girl
- Midsummer Knight
- Expecting
