Uninspiring so far in four maidens, carries top weight for this handicap debut but not passed over too quickly for yard going well.
Roscommon maiden winner debut over this trip, won that easy and handicap mark high enough as a result. Dropping to move favourable terms now.
Went well in three maidens, but soundly beaten last month at Roscommon of 7½f on handicap bow, likely will have more to offer and jockey booking is an eye-catcher.
Form in three maidens very poor, goes handicapping now with first-time blinkers and tongue tie added. Trainer's runners greatly respected but hard to be confident in this one at the moment.
Sent off big prices in all three maidens and always struggling throughout. Could show a bit more now dipping into handicap but hard to back until some progress is evident.
Filly going the right way lately, caught close home last time out at Roscommon over a ½f longer, up 2lb for that but more progress seems likely and ranks a big player in this line-up.
Chance based on last month's third at Gowran Park over this trip off mark of 62, but that run has been an isolated plus point in five runs so far.
Beaten sizeable margins in all three maidens until now. Improved showing on handicap debut not to be entirely ruled out.
Filly ran two of three maidens over 5f, stepped up to 6f latest at Fairyhouse in June, and well beaten on each occasion. New trip on return from break / handicap debut.
Shown similar level of form in all three maidens to date, and it won't be good enough to land this seemingly. Improvement required and stable form a negative right now.
Famous Name filly with decent pedigree, she's been well accounted for in three runs and has some improving to do, not written off just yet sporting first-time visor on handicap bow.
Shaped with some promise last month at Roscommon on handicap bow over 7½f before ultimately fading. Drops 2lb, blinkers added and has scope for a bit better.
Vocalised filly, dam a half-sister to Group 1 winner Loch Garman, has to improve on the bare form of three maidens to stand a chance on first handicap outing.
Forecasts
Piper Bomb (9/4), Painting Pictures (5/1), Scoil Naisiunta (7/1), Famous Affair (7/1), Vicky Cristina (8/1), Mister Magic (12/1), Just Sherry (14/1), Eos (14/1), Ellona (16/1), Gallant Girl (16/1), Magic Sea (20/1), Only William (20/1), Vocatio (25/1)
PIPER BOMB is the obvious choice here based on last month's second at Roscommon, the tongue tie added there had a positive effect and if working as well this time, she'll be hard to hold in this field having appeared progressive recently. Eos is one to note now in a nursery for the first time and could have a say despite conceding weight. The form of Only William's maiden runs is well below average but Gordon Elliott's charge is to be noted in the betting now handicapping with new headgear added. Vicky Cristina and Famous Affair are others worth considering.
- Piper Bomb
- Eos
- Vicky Cristina
