Up 6lb for a victory over this trip at Carlisle last time out. Needs to improve in what could be a deeper race, but could still have more to offer at staying trips.

Very unlucky to still remain a maiden and has filled the places behind the likes of Group 1 winner Ulysses and Group 3 winner Autocratic in the past. Stays this far and has a big chance on the basis of his performance at Newbury last time.

Hasn't shown much so far this year having look promising in maidens last year. Possibility remains that he hasn't trained on and a first time hood needs to return him to his better form.

Makes his handicap debut here having shaped with promise over shorter in his three maidens. Off the course for almost a year, though, and may need this, and needs to prove himself over this far.

C&D winner who seems to be at her best in staying all-weather handicaps. Still 8lb above his most recent winning mark, though, and this mark could prove to be a prohibitive one for him.

Has run his best races over this trip since switching to his current yard, but his form has leveled off now and other, more progressive options are available in this field.

Haydock maiden winner in April and much better handicap showing last time out when running a solid race at Beverley (2m, good), over a trip which may have stretched his stamina. Interesting dropped back slightly in first time cheek pieces.

Yet to prove he stays this far but has performed with credit over shorter and has already recorded a victory on the Polytrack, in a maiden at Kempton.

Remains a maiden but has run with credit in all of his most recent races, and should be on a workable handicap mark on that basis. Seems to stay this far, and seems to have more to offer; considered.

Padrinho21
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-6| J: Josephine Gordon| T: J R Best| OR:  72| D
14/1
Has taken his form to a new level since stepping up to staying trips, but plenty high enough in the weights and remains with something to prove on a synthetic surface (and particularly Polytrack).

Forecasts

Maghfoor (1/1), Chocolate Box (5/1), New World Power (7/1), Renfrew Street (8/1), Wefait (10/1), Padrinho (14/1), Going Up (14/1), Tetradrachm (25/1), Dharoos (33/1), Lost The Moon (40/1)

Verdict

Quite a few of these aren't proven at this trip, but NEW WORLD POWER has already shown that he stays this far. David Simcock's charge is very unlucky to remain a maiden after some very close efforts, and with form that stacks up well coupled with a fine performance at Newbury last time he can finally get off the mark here, provided he can prove effective on this surface. Maghfoor didn't seem to stay over slightly further last time out and can be the one to chase him home, ahead of recent Carlisle scorer Renfrew Street.
  1. New World Power
  2. Maghfoor
  3. Renfrew Street
