Best run in the last 12 months came here over 11f last November when beaten 5l, and again looked like he had a race in him when not beaten far here in May, but weak finishes are a worry. Needs to dig in better when the pressure's on.
On the plus side, last two wins have both come over this C&D but has been hammered out of sight last couple of runs. Drop in grade here may help, but it needs to.
Has found a bit of form on her last couple of starts and not beaten far behind an improving one over this C&D last time out. Visor here may help her finish the job off and she has to be on anyone's shortlist in a moderate contest.
On a good mark these days but that's only a reflection of how far his form has tailed off, and didn't beat a horse home when last seen out in July. Too much to take on trust at present.
Won a claimer at Wolverhampton over this trip in July but not so good here next time and has ground to make up with a couple of these on that. Others preferred.
C&D winner here (for Neil Mulholland) last year but not seen out since finishing well beaten over hurdles last October, and will surely need this.
Racking up the place money lately and again ran well when second over C&D to an improving one here in July. Possibly has her quirks (often taken down early) and not one for maximum faith, but an obvious chance again.
Has been in decent form on the turf and mark here just 2lb higher than latest second at Bath, when staying on well, but this trip looks a bare minimum these days and she may find the winning post coming too soon.
It's of concern that his runs here have been well below par (for a different yard, admittedly) but he's in decent form at present and the addition of the hood today may help. Trip ideal and not totally discounted, but clearly risky.
Only placed once from eight starts but the straw to cling to is that it came here over a mile last year. Seems to stay well and mark has come down far enough that he can be considered in a weak race.
Course winner here in the past but in no great form at present and it's a little late in the day to be trying a new trip with him. Makes little appeal.
Forecasts
Tuolumne Meadows (13/8), Rianna Star (4/1), Howardian Hills (8/1), Wassail (8/1), Garcon De Soleil (17/2), The Ginger Berry (10/1), Vexillum (14/1), Star Links (20/1), Jersey Bull (25/1), Meetings Man (25/1), Zarliman (33/1)
A moderate event to finish the card off with, and TUOLUMNE MEADOWS is knocking on the door. With the visor on today, she might be able to get her head in front. Rianna Star may not be entirely straightforward but it's hard to knock her recent efforts and she can get in the places. Wassall can stay on best of the rest and claim the bronze.
- Tuolumne Meadows
- Rianna Star
- Wassail
