Always effective around here and has a very good course record with his last two runs being around here winning his penultimate one. Handles cut in the ground and has a very good draw in stall one and a leading player in this.
Pacy sort who has had a very consistent season without winning as yet his season typified by his run at York this week. Draw hasn't done him any favours here though and faces a difficult task from stall 9.
The wide draw doesn't make life easy for this one after she did cause a surprise when winning at Nottingham earlier in the month. Failed to reproduce that effort last time out but still turned in a decent effort and were it not for the draw would have a good chance here.
Looks to have been rather unlucky with the draw here and that won't make easy as she tries to break a fairly long losing run. Ran a more than creditable effort last time but not getting much help from the handicapper.
One of two from this yard that have been going well of late and he has won at this course before. Produced a career best at Pontefract a couple of starts ago off 6lb lower but needs to bounce back from an ordinary run last time.
C&D winner on a couple of occasions and won here at the end of July taking advantage of a falling mark. Ran a decent race last time out against a pace bias (came from off the pace and should be capable of giving his running here.
A 5f winner at Beverley off a mark of 83 he's been consistent since that win but hasn't figured well in the draw here. Probably better than his last run but the wide draw here means others are preferred.
All of his turf form of late is rather disappointing and he looks a better horse in the AW. His form on that surface of late has been fairly modest and despite a good draw he's passed over here.
Ran well first time out for this yard and although she's not quite built on that run she does look as though she is threatening to do better soon. Nicely drawn here she could well make an impression off a mark that looks workable.
Finally made use of a falling mark to resume winning ways in May and June but has looked rather amiss of late although a decent draw might well see a better performance this time around.
Certainly didn't get the run of the race last time around here in a race that was dominated by the prominent racers. Never landed a blow and despite a workable mark it may be the same story here.
Progressive sort this year winning three out of his four starts and probably should have won last time out. Very much still on the up-and-up and only up 2lb for his unlucky run last time out he's one of the leading lights here.
Forecasts
Reflektor (11/4), Fumbo Jumbo (5/1), Sign of The Kodiac (7/1), Confessional (8/1), Longroom (8/1), Lucky Beggar (10/1), Soie D'leau (10/1), Bossipop (12/1), Stellarta (14/1), Powerallied (20/1), Guishan (25/1), Stanghow (50/1)
It’s not usual for races at Chester over sprint trips to be decided by the draw and this could be another one and REFLEKTOR must have a fine chance of enhancing his course record. Longroom appeals as one who is likely to run his race and looks a sprinter on the improve with the draw in stall 6 decent enough. Fumbo Jumbo is another who has been consistent of late and she could well use her draw from stall 4 and build on her good recent form and Confessional and Powerallied are two previous C&D winners who run this track well and enter the mix.
- Reflektor
- Longroom
- Fumbo Jumbo
