Encouraging start at Doncaster last month but failed to build on the performance when fourth of five at Chemsford shortly afterwards. Ran green there and possible the application of a hood will help burn off the fizz. But risks attached in hopes for third time lucky.
Went for 50,000gns as a two-year-old, holds a likeable pedigree but no surprise if 6f proves to be on the sharp side. Yard doing well and worth noting in the betting. But does strike as more of a long term prospect.
Cost 55,000gns but made little impact in two starts to date. Needs to start making progress but connections will at least have an idea of where to go once he has a handicap mark.
Second in both starts to date - latest of which was a sound effort in France but was eventually put in his place by a useful looking winner. Going the right way and should be capable of finding a race before long. One to consider if backed.
Posted what has to go down as a poor effort on debut at Chelmsford and didn't really make much progress when switched to turf at Newmarket three weeks ago. Hard to fancy here.
Made only late gains over beaten horses on debut at Leicester and not much progress when switched to the AW at Wolverhampton eight days ago. Another whose future lays in handicaps - probably at a modest level.
Sire was a surprisingly useful juvenile while her dam made no impact in maidens as a two-year-old. Yard respected but not really noted for first-time out winners. Others preferred.
Cost €100,000 and is related to a number of winners. Posted an eye-catching effort on debut at Catterick last month and can be expected to be a lot wiser this time. Makes more appeal than most and her fillies allowance is a useful tool. Notable that her yard won this race last year.
Interesting pedigree but was a well beaten last on debut and already has a lot to prove. Switch to turf may help but needs a dramatic amount of improvement to figure.
Forecasts
Global Passion (5/2), Bowler Hat (11/4), Northern Angel (3/1), Stormy Sand (15/2), General Marius (10/1), Bomad (14/1), Dandiesque (25/1), Ms Tilly (50/1), Wotamadam (100/1)
Very much the weaker of the two divisions and is a race to treat with caution. NORTHERN ANGEL is forwarded as tentative selection after her promising run at Catterick and can take the beating if she steps things up a couple of notches. Bowler Hat may need further but has been found a soft introduction to racing, so is respected as a live danger. Bomad has the benefit of experience and is forwarded as the best of the rest.
- Northern Angel
- Bowler Hat
- Bomad
