Signs of ability on his first two starts and weak in the market when well beaten on his two subsequent runs. Stable have come into a bit of form recently after a quiet spell and he would be one to note in pre-race trading.

BHA rating shot up from 35 to 65 following his latest effort at Pontefract. Comfortably held that day in a race where the favourite underperformed and the form is hard to evaluate. Stable are 0-43 with juveniles over the past five seasons.

Had looked a likely type for one of these before going down in a tight finish at Lingfield. That form has been devalued since. Finished last over 7.5f in the Ffos Las mud last week and a visor is tried. Favourably drawn but has work to do.

Clear signs of ability on all three starts. Drop to 5f did not work last time and she looks a major player on nursery debut back to her optimum trip.

Posted back to back wins in a couple sellers last month over a three day period. The runner-up in the latest has gone well in a nursery since, a performance that suggests he has every chance of completing a hat-trick.

€60,000 purchase has shown little improvement across his first three races and cheekpieces are now added for his nursery debut. Stable's juveniles are yet to fire and hard to fancy unless the market indicates improvement is anticipated.

Signs of improvement last time when putting in some eyecatching work late on at Ripon. Stable are showing signs of coming out of the depression that has hung over the yard this year and she may be a surprise package.

Best run so far came on her debut at Bath over 5f on quick ground and she' has failed to build on that. Outclassed in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot, before ninth of 13 in Sandown 7f novice auction. Form does not look good enough.

Has been partnered by an inexperienced rider on his last two starts having shown promise on debut in a valuable York seller. Well drawn and stable jockey takes the mount for the first time.

Looked green on first two starts and found 5f too sharp last time. Stable are going well and she is in here on an attractive mark.

Form has been hit and miss and in form trainer opts for blinkers. Stable jockey prefers Excellent Times and so do we.

Benefited from being prominently ridden when third to Jedi Master here in June. Beaten in two higher class nurseries since but back in the right grade now and with the handicapper giving her a helping hand.

Forecasts

Placebo Effect (9/2), Go Bananas (6/1), Excellent Times (15/2), Just For Fun (8/1), Plundered (17/2), Moremoneymoreparty (11/1), Brockey Rise (12/1), Where's Jeff (14/1), Rocket Man Dan (14/1), Highland Bobby (16/1), Monkey Magic (18/1), Aristodemus (20/1), Mount Hellvelyn (20/1), Lady Lintera (33/1), Westfield Wonder (50/1)

Verdict

A few of these may be better than we have seen with Where's Jeff and Just For Fun just two to note in the ring. Placebo Effect has more obvious claims following two wins in sellers which place him on a fair mark in this. Lady Lintera was noted making late headway last time and she has each-way claims. For the selection we like the look of Excellent Times near the foot of the handicap. She has appeared in need of the experience to date but gets in here on a lowly mark for her in form yard with the step back to 6f expected to see some improvement.
  1. Excellent Times
  2. Placebo Effect
  3. Lady Lintera
