A dual winner in France on the AW and turf he shaped as if he would be far better for the run when making his debut for his current yard at Beverley. Should be suited by the step-up in trip and better expected this time around.
Not the most straightforward of rides but did manage to turn in a better effort last time out when third at Doncaster. Travelled well on that run but as before didn't find a lot in the finish and may need to be delivered very late.
Started the year well with a win on the AW at Southwell plus a decent run after that back on turf. Not seen though since running at Southwell again in May without blinkers this time but yet to win off a mark this high and others may have fitness on their side.
Has been around the block in terms of trainers and having his third run for this yard but has yet to win on turf with all his 11 wins coming on the AW. Shaped encouragingly on his first run for the stable and still looked in form last time out (heavy ground not helping) at Newbury but his turf record is off putting.
In good form last year with four wins all in handicaps (two on the AW and two on turf) but still 2lb above his last winning mark and has run two very flat races this year and hard to recommend here.
Has slipped down to a very workable mark and has run some respectable races of late with his last run at Beverley off today's mark showing he was still in good form. A repeat of that run under the same rider may well be good enough to see him go close again.
One of three C&D winners in the field he's been on good form of late with his penultimate run producing the C&D win. He followed that up with an even better run despite not winning when second at Pontefract to a thriving winner and he still holds plenty of potential off this mark.
Scored back-to-back wins last year at Chepstow over a mile and returned to his best when winning at Nottingham over 1m2f in July under today's rider. Again ran creditably last time out and can be given a chance again in this company.
Not won for getting on for two years now but shapes as though he retains plenty of ability and is starting to look quite well handicapped. Maybe not quite at the top of his game and dangerous to write off operating off this mark in a race he should be competitive in.
Started the season really well over hurdles and that progress has been continued on the Flat with wins at Thirsk and Ayr. Both wins came over further though and he looks as though he needs a test of stamina greater than this will provide.
Found the ease in grade to her liking when winning over 1m5f at Ayr last month travelling well to win off a 5lb lower mark. Again ran well last time out (slow away) but just failed to get past a dogged rival and may find this trip a little on the short side.
Recent hurdles form has been modest and not much better on the Flat and well below form on his last outing in this sphere and hard to see him taking much of a hand here.
Took advantage of a drop in the weights to score his second win having been freshened up by this yard and ended a long losing run. Not written off here by any means off a 3lb higher mark having once been rated 103.
Mostly poor form in handicaps and finished last on his last Flat start on the Aw at Newcastle. Well beaten over hurdles since and would only have a minor chance here.
Won this race twice before in 2014 and 2015 and on both occasions he'd had a recent poor run over fences preceding that win. The same scenario exists this time as he was pulled-up (looked very moody) over fences at Cartmel in July so not totally written off despite the form figures.
Four runs this season have seen his mark dropping and he's generally looked regressive and out of form Looks to have lost his way and can only be watched here.

A big field and a very open finale with Bal De Rio likely to take a step forward from his initial outing for the stable. Luv U Whatever still needs to show that he can win on turf with King Of The Celts looking as though he can take a hand again along with the likes of Omotesando and Sheriff Of Nawton. Surely Sergeant Pink can’t win this race for the third time despite the scenario looking similar again and it may well be that THORNTOUN CARE and Firestorm are the pair to concentrate on. The former is in good form at the moment while the latter is on a very good mark if he can repeat his surprise win last time out.
