Looks to be gradually learning about racing, and was staying on at the finish when fourth of eleven to So Hi Society in a similar contest at Chepstow last month (6f soft). Might ideally need further but not ruled out on AW debut.
Unraced Paco Boy filly who was a relatively inexpensive yearling (£3,200). Her dam (Jasmick) was effective over further, and she looks the type for the future rather than the present.
Daughter of Lord Shanakill who is a half-sister to three winners, and really grasped what was expected of her late in the race at Windsor on debut (6f good to firm) when just under 1L third to Boomerang Betty. Expected to improve.
Unraced daughter of Kodiac out of Redstone Dancer. This fifth foal fetched 88,000 gns as a yearling (double her foal value of 44,000 gns). Will probably do best over 7f to 1m, but this is a reasonable starting point.
Acclamation filly who fetched 100,000 gns as a yearling. This eighth foal is a half-sister to five winners including Minor Vamp, and she made a pleasing debut despite meeting trouble in the run to finish fourth of ten to Eirene at Doncaster (6f soft) just under a fortnight ago.
First foal by Kheleyf out of Miss Authority who was acquired as a cheap yearling, and showed little on debut at Windsor (6f good to firm) last month.
Pivotal filly who has looked very green in two starts to date (5f and 7f). Her pedigree suggests she'll need further and likely to improve when stepping into nurseries.
Unraced Dream Ahead filly out of Gift Of Music (a granddaughter of Lochsong). Fascinating to see how she fares with the champion jockey booked.
40,000 gns yearling (third foal). By Nathaniel out of Fleurissimo who is closely related to 1m2f winner Fleur Forsyte. Likely to appreciate further in time, but her dam was placed over 7f as a juvenile.
£50,000 yearling, but looks to be the stable second string, and probably went backwards from debut to second start (even allowing for a drop in trip to 5f). Needs to show more.
Unraced Iffraaj filly out of Central Line. Second foal who is a half-sister to Snowstar who was placed over 5f to 6f. From a highly respected stable, but on pedigree doesn't appear likely to be one of their leading lights.
Unraced fifth foal who hopefully for connections doesn't live up to her rather worrying name. By Lethal Force, this fifth foal is out of Rhapsilian who was herself a 6f AW winner and a sister to 6f Listed winner Ripples Maid.
Forecasts
Jane Rose (2/1), Island Drive (11/4), Downtown Mombasa (4/1), Angel Islington (6/1), Travelcard (8/1), Musical Dream (10/1), That's My Girl (33/1), Catch The Pigeon (50/1), Pollyissimo (50/1), Wotamadam (50/1), Midnight Blue (100/1), Lady Of Authority (200/1)
Musical Dream has one of the most attractive pedigrees of the newcomers, but a couple of these runners have already shown plenty of promise on the racecourse. Jane Rose looks the clear pick of the two Hannon trained runners, and she would've went much closer but for meeting trouble in the run at Doncaster just under a fortnight ago, yet she faces a most striking rival in DOWNTOWN MOMBASA. She looked very green early on debut at Windsor, but really grasped the threads late on and flew home to finish third to Boomerang Betty. Her trainer has enjoyed an excellent few months all round, and this well related Lord Shanakill filly can further add to that winners tally.
- Downtown Mombasa
- Jane Rose
- Angel Islington
