Very well handicapped but has been out of form this season. Probably best watched unless the market indicates otherwise.
Goes well on fast ground and has a 6f win to his name already this term. That was from 5lb lower at Thirsk and this is far less competitive than his latest race at York. Still remains high enough in the weights for now.
Disappointing since last year's AW success and hood applied. Dropping down the weights and looks opposable for now.
Veteran whose current losing run is starting to build up. A drop in the weights allows him into a Class Five contest where he holds a respectable 5-21 strike rate.
All three wins have come in this grade but the last two were over 7f on softer ground. Conditions are forecast to be much quicker and she appears too much of a risk with recent efforts suggesting she is high enough in the weights.
A winner at Bath last season on good-to-soft ground. Has shaped better than his form figures suggest in competitive races at Ascot and York. Rider is 6-21 for the yard and the combination look interesting down in this grade.
Has two wins and a third over C&D. Yet to be competitive from this mark since her juvenile days and yard are not firing at present.
Quirky sort who has placed just once in 14 starts for this yard. Would appear to be determined to ruin his chances from the stalls in recent times and plenty to prove at present.
Has shown that he can compete from today's mark on a couple of occasions of late. Probably needs the ground to remain as quick as forecast if top rider is to have a chance of bringing home in front.
Ran better than his final position suggests at Ascot on his penultimate start and then found the ground turn against him at Chepstow. Forecast quicker conditions and a further significant drop in the weights will raise hopes, but his trainer has not had a winner since April.
Has done her previous winning on turf with cut, so ever drying ground won't be ideal (withdrawn from a race here last month owing to quick conditions). Not in the greatest form lately, but drops back to 6f, a trip she finished fourth over at Thirsk in April when 4L behind Ancient Astronaut. Now meets that rival on 9lb better terms and one to note if conditions turn in her favour.
Seven-race maiden who is yet to make the frame for either Richard Hannon or his current handler. Continues to drop down the weights and will find his level one day. The market will tell us when that is.
Forecasts
Socialites Red (4/1), Storm Melody (9/2), Ancient Astronaut (5/1), Related (8/1), Enjoy Life (8/1), Swag (9/1), Top of The Bank (10/1), Specialv (14/1), Bahamian Heights (16/1), Seamster (20/1), Acrux (25/1), Equally Fast (33/1)
Ancient Astronaut and Socialites Red have been running well but are high enough in the weights for now. Top Of The Bank has to be feared with his rider in such outstanding form. STORM MELODY acts on any ground so will be ready for whatever the unpredictable weather may throw at him. He will find this a lot easier than the two races he contested this season. Fran Berry is usually a significant booking by the yard and his presence adds confidence that the selection is worthy of support.
- Storm Melody
- Top of The Bank
- Ancient Astronaut
