Made an impressive winning debut at Cork in April 2015 before moving onto this trainer. Not quite up to pattern company, and held on handicap debut from a mark of 90 in September 2015. Off since, and will surely need this race.
No stranger to success having tasted victory in equal quantities on both the Flat and over hurdles. Won over 1m4f on the AW here in March (now 3lb higher), but beaten on the turf and over hurdles since and this drop in trip might not prove ideal.
Both of his AW career victories have come over further (1m4f), but he has proved his ability to handle this track and returned from a winter break in fine fettle at Sandown earlier this month. By chasing home Shargiah over 1m2f, he outran his 33/1 odds without necessarily looking like this trip was most helpful.
A decisive winner of a Class 5 1m2f handicap on the Lingfield Polytrack in early May, this gelding was far from disgraced from a 7lb higher mark when third to Shargiah at Newcastle a few weeks later. Up another 1lb, so this is tougher again.
Past course winner (1m4f in October 2015) who returned from a lengthy absence to post a solid third placed effort behind Langlauf over 1m4f here earlier this month. Fairly unexposed (just six career starts), and possibilities wearing cheek-pieces for the first time if avoiding the 'bounce' factor.
Emphatic winner of a Yarmouth 1m3½F handicap in mid May (Silca Star third) on his first outing for this excellent trainer, and ran well enough in a much higher grade at York thereafter. Possibly not ideally suited by the combination of track and ground at Chester latest. AW debut.
Won over hurdles at Market Rasen in February, and her past Flat form on turf has indicated that she's best with some cut. Yet to taste success in four spins on the AW, but she's shown a suitability for Tapeta at the very least, so few fears on that score. Trip possibly plenty short enough.
Both career successes have come over longer trips, including when a short-head too good for The Otmoor Poet at Windsor in May (1m3f+ good). Only 3lb higher tonight after a moderate showing at Epsom on Derby Day (1m4f).
Beaten narrowly by Celebration Day from a 1lb lower mark over this trip at Chelmsford just under a month ago, but only mid-field at Chester on his sole subsequent start. Reasonable claims from this mark on his form from the more distant past and a rare Kempton AW runner for the stable (2 from 13 over the past five years).
12 race maiden (flat and jumps) who was runner up to Spinners Ball at Windsor in May, but much like that rival has put in a more moderate showing since (at Chester), and needs to bounce back.
Formerly with Mick Channon, but was understandably fresh on his stable debut (first run for a year) at Windsor in April and ditched his rider on the way to the start. Much better on handicap debut at Yarmouth in May (third to Sean O'Casey) but work to do to reverse placings with that rival tonight.

A tricky contest to solve with a number of the runners ideally suited to racing over further (1m4f). Clowance One would have a chance if building upon his reappearance earlier in the month now assisted by first time cheek-pieces, whilst both Artful Rogue and Tom's Rock have form tied up with the progressive Shargiah. Instant Karma is a fairy regular dual purpose winner whilst Spinners Ball should get the better of The Otmoor Poet. However, in order to put up a selection, we turn to the ever reliable Mick Appleby. SEAN O'CASEY hasn't been in the yard too long, and was freshened up to score at Yarmouth in May, so he's selected in the hope that a switch to the AW for the very first time might have a similar effect.
