Went close to taking a maiden with an improved performance at Naas last time, clearly relishing the step up to this trip. Opening mark shouldn't prove too much of an issue and she is clearly going in the right direction.

Debut effort behind Asking rates her best performance so far. Last three runs have been over further and she should be more suited on pedigree by this trip on handicap debut.

Run well in two maidens this this term before credible close-up fourth of 16 on handicap bow over the mile at Navan. Drops in trip here and should be in the mix from 1lb lower rating.

Recorded back-to-back victories last September but hasn't been as effective so far this year, has also shown a preference for faster ground so may get conditions to suit here.

Has run credibly in three maidens, including over C&D, may be able to offer more now sent handicapping and merits a market check.

Not much to write home about from her time with Mick Channon; and her three previous starts for her current yard didn't really yield much of a return. Respected trainer may be able to get a positive reaction so remains one to keep an eye on.

Stepped up on seasonal debut when finishing third over 6f at Dundalk in first time blinkers (retained) in April. Races off a 2lb higher mark and one for the shortlist on his return to turf here.

Not the most promising 2yo last season and has struggled in two runs since coming back in. Now switched into the care of Willie McCreery and intriguing to see if better is forthcoming.

Six-race maiden showed some promise in two AW handicaps last year and is attractively weighted for this turf return though does have an absence to defy.

Ten races without a win so far, though did take a step in the right direction last time over 6f at Fairyhouse last time out, not especially favoured by these weights however.

Forecasts

Betty Loch (7/2), Butoolat (5/1), Dandys Gold (6/1), Dinky Inty (6/1), Panstarr (8/1), Keep Believing (8/1), Shawami (10/1), Seapoint (12/1), Favorite Story (12/1), Olly's Folly (16/1), Milish (16/1), Magwadiri (33/1)

Verdict

BUTTOOLAT showed enough on handicap debut at Navan last time out to warrant serious consideration for this contest from a 1lb lower rating. For a trainer in excellent form, he might be the answer here. Betty Loch also showed improved form last time out and cannot be discounted on handicap debut while Keep Believing and another handicap debutant Favorite Story are others worth paying attention to.
