Two starts over hurdles in May/June realised a 3L at Tramore in a 6k hurdle over 2m. In decent form on the Flat earlier this year winning at Dundalk in April, over 1m2½. Has won on his last two trips to these shores, including a win here in May 2016.
Both previous handicap wins have come off a mark of 71. Beaten off 74 latest when fifth of nine beaten 4½L over 1m2f in a Lingfield handicap on the All-Weather. Could take a hand, given his second of eight at Brighton at the end of April on good to firm.
Six from 43 on turf with many consistent performances this season.Second of four here in May, beaten 1½L over 1m2f. Still 4lb higher than last win in a Chepstow handicap over 1m4f, when winning by 15L.
Consistent performer over the years who is holding his form well in a busy campaign, placing twice at Bath since beating Glen's Wobbly by 1½L back in May. 7lb higher than last win, off-set by Finley Marsh's claim.
Twice a winner over C&D the last coming off a similar mark just over a year ago. Ran creditably coming back off a long break over 2f further in May, before being well beaten last time out over an inadequate 1m.
Sole career success came at Leicester in May 2016 (7F) and appeared not to get home when upped to 1m4f at Wolverhampton in January, before being well beaten here last time out in May. Back on last winning mark when winning a Leicester handicap in May 2016.
Forecasts
Sharjah (9/4), Attain (9/4), Russian Reward (5/2), Glens Wobbly (6/1), Saint Helena (14/1), Henryhudsonbridge (25/1)
Competitive contest where chances can be given to four of the five runners. It could pay to check the market for any move on the Irish horse, Sharjah. The pace should be set by the front-running, RUSSIAN REWARD, who found one too quick at the business end of a Brighton handicap on good to firm, when last seen on turf in April. Glens Wobbly, could also contest the lead and has been consistent when running under todays conditions.
- Russian Reward
- Sharjah
- Glens Wobbly
