Showed some useful form as a juvenile most notably winning the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot and shaped well in the Abbaye (travelled well) as his last start as a two-year-old. Below form on his only run so far this year but well drawn here if he can make use of the draw.

Makes his first start as a three-year-old but does have some good juvenile form to his name most notably when taking third in the Cornwallis Stakes on his last start. Draw on the wide outside won't help though and that will be tough to overcome.

Did win as a juvenile when with Hugo Palmer in what was a truncated campaign before being gelded and joining his current connections. Has looked a real bargain winning two handicaps from the front at Chester and York but will find it hard to lead from a wide draw here up in class.

Juvenile form had a regressive look about it after he won on his debut at Thirsk over 6f. Showed up a little better this year and has had excuses on both his runs (ground and trip). Still faces a tough task here though and question marks as to whether he I sup to this grade.

Stepped up on her debut when landing a 5f maiden at Thirsk and showed even better form when winning at York on her return this season in Listed company. Showed a good attitude when winning that race and remains open to improvement and looks best over 5f.

Speedy juvenile who won just once over 5f on the AW but ran some creditable races at this level and showed that all her ability remains when building on her reappearance effort with a win at Hamilton. Well up to making her mark in this company and this speedy sort isn't ruled out here.

Needs to build on her bare form as a juvenile and some of the others may well have the edge in fitness on her here. Not totally written off though given her connections and quite nicely drawn if she does go forward here.

Form has shown progression in 5f handicaps winning on her latest start at Chester showing a good attitude. Well drawn but has been found wanting in this company before and will need to show more progression to get involved.

Showed a lot of improvement to win two 6f handicaps at Leicester and Windsor off marks of 73 and 79 and not disgraced in a much better handicap last time out. This demands more though and the wide draw hardly helps in a race full of speed.

Forecasts

Copper Knight (7/2), Ardad (4/1), Fashion Queen (9/2), Equimou (6/1), Gheedaa (15/2), Quench Dolly (10/1), Battaash (11/1), Megan Lily (16/1), Koropick (25/1)

Verdict

This is a race with lot of speed in it and there is a chance that the leaders may well set this up for one of the closers if they don’t get a break on this stiff track although luck in-running may be required. Copper Knight will be of interest but he won’t get an easy time on the led and will have to overcome a wide draw. Fashion Queen could improve again from her York win while Equimou is a very speedy type who might be able to get involved here. Gheedaa is very much unexposed and given her connections of interest while Battaash is an interesting type but he draw hasn’t done him any favours. ARDAD had some good form to his name as a juvenile and although he was disappointing on his reappearance he’s given a chance to bounce back here from a good draw in a race that could be run to suit.
  1. Ardad
  2. Fashion Queen
  3. Gheedaa
