Bit to prove after finishing last at Nottingham (good to soft) last month; his record of 0-5 on turf also uninspiring. The faster ground might help but very feasible he is better on the AW tracks.
Loves this course and counts two C&D wins amongst his five previous successes at Bath. Comes here on the back of a solid effort at Goodwood and appeals as one for the shortlist in this company. Worth bearing in mind that he's been placed from his current mark but never quite managed to get his head in front when it really matters.
On a long losing run and has a long absence to overcome, so entitled to need this and possibly another couple of outings to put him cherry ripe at this advanced stage of his career.
Another that has gone well here in the past - sound effort at the start of this month but failed to back it up at Chepstow latest. Fact he is being kept busy suggests he is in good spirits at home, so no forlorn hope for a place in the frame.
Another that raises his game here and fully deserved his victory over C&D last time out. Just 2lb higher today and likely to make another bold attempt. Style of running can leave you exasperated and he needs to stay out of trouble from his wider draw (not insurmountable though - came from a berth in stall 9 to win latest).
Previous course winner and fairly treated just now. But latest evidence suggests she isn't one to trust without reservation and she may need a bit more help from the assessor at the moment.
Only two wins from 34 previous starts and has been more miss than hit of late. Respectable effort latest but but still a bit more to find if she is going to add to her strike-rate.
Very narrowly beaten by Compton Prince over C&D at the start of this month but couldn't back up the effort when never better than mid-division at Salisbury next time. Hard to predict but does go well for her 7lb claimer, so not without a chance of making the frame granted a clear run through.
Yard respected but a lot of guesswork involved as the mare has been off since January 2015 and only has limited experience of racing in turf. First-time blinkers and tongue tie employed today.
A bit to find with Compton Prince and a couple of the rest; should run her race but surprising if she is good enough to head them all off near the finish.
Triple course winner and acts well on the predicted ground. Slowly away when behind the likes of Compton Prince latest, and work to do in her bid to reverse form with her old rivals. Should get competitive from a handy draw but others already have her measure.
C&D winner off this mark and has plenty of collateral form with some of the rest; which suggests he is likely to involved if the widest draw doesn't hinder his chances. Ground conditions not ideal though.
Long-standing maiden (0-15 so far), whose best career efforts have been posted at this track. But even this makes for modest reading and hard to see her being good enough to take this.

OUR LORD gets a speculative nomination after a sound effort last time out - he only needs to run up to that level to be involved in the shake-up this time around. There are dangers aplenty and the likes of Compton Prince, who is one of a handful of course specialists, will closing in at the finish if he runs his usual races, while Captain Ryan typically ups the ante at this course and shouldn't be underestimated. Thewestwalian is another that has very little to find to get competitive, whereas Burauq needs the heavens to open to boost any chances of him surging from his wide draw.
