Five races over hurdles and two over fences have produced only one placing. That was at Exeter three starts ago and, as she has been well beaten in two outings since, she has a lot to prove off a stiffish handicap mark.
A winning stayer on the Flat for Amanda Perrett, she has shown bits of promise over timber without pulling up any trees. Handicap mark is dropping so she is not without hope.
Won on the Flat when trained in Ireland, and ran well on her first start over hurdles for her current yard when a close-up fourth of seven at Fakenham earlier this month. If able to replicate that effort, she has a chance in an ordinary contest.
Won a Taunton handicap hurdle in February with real authority, but the inevitable weight rise has seen her struggle since. Claimer takes off 7lb, which should help, and at least she has shown she knows how to win.
Won a 3m handicap hurdle at this track in April before finishing third at Worcester and unseating her rider at the first in a C&D race earlier this month. May need a greater stamina test, but is worthy of consideration.
Fell in the race won by Parlour Maid at Towcester, and was beaten a long way when ninth of 10 at Huntingdon last time. Shaped well on her first start for this trainer when runner-up at Plumpton a couple of runs ago and would have each-way claims if able to reproduce that sort of form.
Has run six times over hurdles and her only placing was a third at Towcester in March. Her fifth of 12 over C&D in April was a respectable effort, though, and she is inching down the handicap.
Only one third placing in 11 starts over hurdles, but that was last time at Fontwell. Drops back in distance, but seems to be getting her act together and has a chance in a contest of this type.
Has an unenviable record of no placings from 11 starts over timber. Handicap mark is dropping like a stone, and she did not run too badly in a Taunton seller two starts ago, but she is hard to fancy.
Has started at 100-1 on three of her four starts for current trainer. She showed nothing in any of those races and is readily opposed.

Forecasts
Raising Hope (11/4), Parlour Maid (3/1), Hija (4/1), Sahara Haze (4/1), Azamesse (11/2), Starlit Night (15/2), Flighty Filia (17/2), Civitesses (9/1), Avithos (10/1), Gowell (14/1), Water Willow (16/1), Mole Trap (16/1), Arthur's Queen (33/1), Actonetaketwo (50/1)
A moderate mares' handicap in which few are currently in any sort of form. Top weight Parlour Maid will have her supporters, but has been clobbered for her recent win and others - including Azamesse, Avithos and Civitesses - looks more feasibly weighted. However, winning Flat perfomer FLIGHTY FILIA has shown glimpses of form over hurdles which suggest she should be competitive in a race of this nature and could represent decent each-way value.
- Flighty Filia
- Avithos
- Azamesse
