Casamento gelding, cost€41,000 as a foal and €75,000 as a yearling. Dam was a maiden but half-sister to Listed middle distance winner Portrayal. Very impressive winner on debut at Lingfield on the AW and while no subsequent winners have come out of the race, the runner-up and the third have run well. That's up their with the best form on offer but handicapper has taken no chances.
Won an early season Listed contest at York last year but largely disappointing after that until a placed effort in Listed company on final start of 2016. Too keen on return at Newmarket but should make her presence felt back in handicap company at some point and talented apprentices 7lb claim may help.
Sole win came on only AW start in a three-runner contest at Newcastle but he looks equally as effective on turf. Has struggled to get his head in front off this kind of mark though and others arrive less exposed.
Mount Nelson colt, cost 38,000 gns as a foal and 80,000 gns as a yearling. Very green on all three of his starts to date but did manage to defy his in experience with a win at Chelmsford on second start. Could back that up over the same C&D next time but opening mark looked too stiff. Given some time to recover from that and first-time tongue-tie could see him in a better light but only dropped 1lb and others have more scope from their marks.
Very consistent sort who finally got off the mark at Beverley on her reappearance run in April. Fair effort when third at York last time and while she is up another 3lb for that, she's proven in a range of conditions and always gives her running. Solid each-way chance.
Bit of a hit and miss performer and best efforts came on the AW last year. Trainer and jockey both have excellent records here but he's entitled to need this run after a significant absence and draw is wider than ideal. First run since a gelding operation.
Won an end of season maiden at Leicester in October and form of that race has taken several knocks since. Struggled on her comeback run at that same course last time and while she's entitled to come on for that effort, she no doubt needs to find improvement off this mark.
Pour Moi gelding who justified favouritism at Beverley this time last year on his second start, having shown plenty of promise on debut. Well beaten later in the season at Newcastle though and yard have been quiet in recent months so probably best watched this time.
Won a Wolverhampton maiden for John Gosden but shown nothing on two starts for this yard and looks in need of more relief from the handicapper. Draw hasn't been king and seemingly up against it.

Mark Johnston has a couple of interesting runners in here with KHAMAARY making most appeal after two impressive wins and she may be upto defying a steep rise in the weights. Casimiro won well at Lingfield on debut and the form of that race has been franked to some extent. Starlight Romance is a consistent filly who looks up to exploiting any holes in her less experienced rivals.
