Winner for Aidan O'Brien as a two-year-old but has failed to progress for two different trainers since. Having first run for another new yard following an 18 month absence.
Tackling a new trip off a career high mark and needs to prove he handles ground this soft. Has been hit and miss prior to the fitting of cheekpieces so has plenty of questions to answer.
Found little under pressure here on handicap debut last time. That was a disappointing effort as last year's form suggested he was on a good mark.
Improved effort to chase home Fast And Hot at Newbury on Friday but no reason to see him turning the tables under similar conditions.
Soon beaten on return to action two weeks ago. Clearly well weighted on 2014 form and handles soft ground, but more evidence is required that he retains that ability.
Revelled in the mud at Newbury on Friday when scoring an emphatic victory. Escapes a penalty here and hard to oppose under the same rider.
Won a couple of races for Richard Fahey and sliding down the weights following a string of patchy performances. Stable have had a quiet year so far.
Won a couple for Jonathan Portman but well beaten on all starts for her new yard. Hard to recommend at present.
Winner of a couple of soft ground handicaps for Jeremy Noseda last term. Makes debut for new yard following a seven month absence and 14,000 gns purchase. Probably best watched for now.
Landed two Newbury handicaps last term including one from a 4lb higher mark. Proved he handled soft ground and this will be the first time he has raced on it since. Could give a good account at rewarding odds.
Runner-up here last month but failed to back that up next time at Wolverhampton. Effectively 5lb higher in the weights here and hard to recommend as a result
Tailed off last time and finished last on her only start on soft ground. Hood now fitted and has a difficult task from 6lb out of the handicap.
Forecasts
Fast And Hot (6/5), Essenaitch (7/2), Ebbisham (8/1), Spinart (8/1), Loving Your Work (14/1), Leonardo (16/1), Genuine Approval (16/1), Woofie (20/1), Iniesta (22/1), Hearty (28/1), Rolling Dice (33/1), Mette (100/1)
FAST AND HOT romped to victory in similar conditions on Friday and as he escapes a penalty he is impossible to oppose. He should again account for Essenaitch but Loving Your Work is a more realistic threat given his for at this stage last season when the ground was riding soft. He is well handicapped on the form of two Newbury victories for his small yard and he could be an each-way alternative to what is likely to be a short priced favourite. Ebbisham won well last time out and his yard are in form. He has questions to answer in terms of trip, ground, weight and ability to put two good runs together.
- Fast And Hot
- Loving Your Work
