Put together a consistent string of solid performances but has yet to reap a win for his efforts. He does have experience of this C&D - finished fourth here on his penultimate start - but needs to post an improved effort from a 3lb higher mark.
Holding his form well just now and is open to improvement now he steps up in trip. The booking of the champion jockey suggests his connections mean business; one to bear in mind on ground that should suit.
This is her time of year but her form tailed off towards the end of the last campaign and she may need a little more help fro,m the assessor. This trip also appears to be her bare minimum.
Won over C&D three years ago but doesn't appear to be especially well treated and has been below par of late. Others make more appeal.
Gone well at this course in the past but is on a long losing run and is hard to fancy despite being on a handy mark just now. Fell heavily when last seen out, so also needs to prove his confidence hasn't been affected.
Posted a respectable effort over C&D last month and, from a 2lb lower mark, he has claims if he can use that as a platform. Has never actually won a race to date, though, and remains a difficult horse to recommend for win only purposes.
Lightly raced but has yet to trouble the judge from any of his previous six starts. The fact he is already receiving leniency from the handicapper is off-putting. Others preferred.
Just 1lb higher than his last winning mark so does have feasible claims on the best of his form. The trip stretches him to the limit, however, and he needs to dig deeper into his reserves than he has previously if he going to make trying this extra distance a successful venture.
bred to appreciate the trip but has only very modest form to his name so far and hard to see him improving sufficiently to make much of an impact this time around.
Two wins from two starts for his current yard and, given the manner of his latest success, he could easily brush aside his paltry rating. Obviously had training issues, as this will be only his third start since January 2015, but if he stands up to the rigours, he may have a touch more to offer than the modest bunch he faces this time around.
Consistent for his former yard but has yet to fire on all cylinders for his current trainer. best watched until he shows a bit more urgency in his races.
A previous C&D that is very well treated on the pick of his past form. Wasn't disgraced on his return to Southwell in January and would be dangerous to rule out completely. Needs some give underfoot to be seen at his best but could be a value option to make the frame at least if he gets his ground.
Forecasts
Lovely Touch (7/4), Dragon De La Tour (3/1), Intifadah (6/1), Dalkadam (10/1), Fuhgeddaboudit (16/1), Polarbrook (16/1), Silent Warrior (22/1), Roman Numeral (22/1), Jigsaw Financial (22/1), Alyasan (25/1), Oscar Jane (28/1), Crocodile Dancer (66/1)
There may be a bit more to come from LOVELY TOUCH now that he has proved his well being. The gelding has won both his starts for Sam Thomas and appears to have been found a weak opening for his hat-trick bid. Intifadah has been in good heart and can make a good fist of things, while Polarbrook wouldn't be one to trust implicitly but does appeal as a punters choice to make the frame at fair odds. Fuhgeddaboudit
- Lovely Touch
- Intifadah
- Polarbrook
