Steady improvement in his three maidens, getting off the mark over this trip at Catterick (soft) on his final start in October. Initial mark looks fair on what he achieved there and with potential improvement to come he could go very well from a reasonable draw.
Was readied to win on his Chester debut almost a year ago (6f, good) but then could not get competitive for the rest of the season. Sent off favourite on his recent Ripon return and beaten 1½L from this mark. Should again be capable of going close.
Ran to a similar level of form in both starts on AW, going close first time and then winning at Chelmsford a couple of weeks ago. Runner-up there has since gone close again and trainer should also have a good handle on the form line of Sparkalot in comparison to expectations here. Likely to be heavily involved from good draw.
Couldn't break her duck in five attempts in novices' and maiden events but came good on her first try in a handicap at Catterick last month from a mark of 65 (5f, good to firm). Has been put up 7lb for that, which looks tough enough, though the runner-up has again occupied that berth since and the form does at least looks solid.
Was ready first time out last year and just touched off at York (5f, good) in a novices' contest, but couldn't cut the mustard in subsequent maidens. 7lb better off with Kodicat for the 3½L beating by that reopposing rival at Catterick last time and after that handicap sighter she should go very well.
Came good over this trip at Newcastle in March and followed up over 7f at that venue next time, defying a 7lb rise in the process. Up a further 2lb for this return to turf and clearly gets on well with this claimer, so could go close to completing a hat-trick.
Sole success thus far came over 5f at Musselburgh in September from 4lb lower. Held on both starts since from slightly higher marks than today and may come on a fair bit for her Catterick reappearance, but others make more appeal today.
Maiden after nine starts in maidens and auction maidens and now makes his handicap debut from a mark of 67 and in first-time blinkers. Would have a squeak if able to find a little improvement for the headgear, but otherwise we have seen enough so far to suggest that he will find at least one too good.
8lb higher than when scoring over this trip at Redcar last month (6f, good) and wasn't far away from adding to that after a 6lb rise last time. No reason why he can't be very competitive again form today's slightly higher mark, although draw not ideal.
1-11 so far, winning over this trip at Catterick (good) in August from today's mark. Handicapper has had him since then, but back on this mark and from a good draw next to his stablemate he could get very competitive again. Market check advised.
Another maiden who went very close at Catterick in October (6f, good to soft) from 2lb lower. Looked as though he might be capable of improving on a reasonable Ripon reappearance at Pontefract last time, but he never got into that after being hampered at the start. Could resume progress though not easy from this box.
Ran well in a Carlisle novices' auction contest (5f, good to firm) in June but otherwise didn't figure last season. Handicap mark looks no more than fair for her first foray into this company, but not easy to fancy her until seeing more.
Began to look as though he was getting warmer when fourth, beaten 1¾L in a 5f Beverley handicap last time out (good to firm) from a mark of 62. Races from that same pitch today, is well drawn and this half-brother to Listed sprint winner Hamish McGonagall may have a big say in the outcome.

A conundrum for punters, with John Quinn treble-handed and perhaps Eltanin can go best of that trio, although all of them merit a peek in the market. Plenty of others can get competitive, but a nearside draw is favourable in these contests and therefore Historic Event, Man About Town, Dundunah and BROTHER MCGONAGALL all make appeal in different ways, but after a good effort last time, the last-named might be able to nick this.
