Veteran who is still capable of mixing it in this grade and not long since he won at Southwell over 5f from a 6lb lower mark. Does have a C&D win to his name from several years ago, but not as good these days and looks to have a few pounds too many to shoulder.

Has four C&D wins plus one over 6f to his name at this venue and recorded his latest success in March from 2lb lower. Well beaten in higher grade at Epsom last time, but now back in the right company he can again go close.

All four wins to date have been on turf, the best of them by 5L from today's mark at Yarmouth in September (6f, good to firm). Yet to make the frame in three attempts on AW and tries this venue for the first time. Fit and firing, though clearly also has to prove he is as good on this surface.

Has not won for two years, his latest of three successes being over C&D from 2lb higher. Not beaten too far from 1lb lower here in November and possibilities on that evidence, though yet to win on first start after a break.

Loves it here with three C&D wins to his name, plus another over 6f, although the last of them was over two years ago. Was good enough to win from 10lb higher in February 2016, but out of form for eight successive runs now and despite eyecatching jockey booking he has a fair bit to prove.

Won over 6f here on debut in 2015 and then 13 months later over C&D from a mark of 68. Returns on the back of a career-best effort at Wolverhampton last month and with the front pair putting daylight between themselves and the rest, he looks a player from 3lb higher.

Three wins from 49 starts, the last of them being 31 starts ago. Has been competitive in defeat from higher marks since then and would not be far away if repeating his C&D run here from February, though clearly not one to rely on.

Decent strike rate here, winning 6-29 at the track, all over C&D. 5lb higher than the most recent of those today and upped in class here, which is not going to make this task easy.

Has won both a maiden and a handicap over C&D, the latter being from 5lb higher. Competitive in defeat from lower marks than today's since then, but needs to find more to be up to winning this.
