Has been in great form over the last five months during which he has won four times. Has gone up in the weights accordingly, but is unbeaten in three starts at this track and looks sure to go well again.
Solid AW performer who has a C&D success on his CV. A four-runner event at this track last time did not pan out for him and he is one of several with each-way claims.
Won a C&D claimer in March and has run well in handicap company since. Seems to be in good heart and no reason why he should not be competitive.
Turf winner who has raced only twice on the AW. Beaten a long way on his only visit to this venue, but he has improved since then and cannot be dismissed.
Ran well when fifth on his reappearance at Pontefract last month - his first outing after being gelded. A course winner, he is likely to have come on for that recent run and should make a bold bid for his in-form stable.
Lightly raced so, presumably, has had his problems. Beaten a long way on his two latest starts and has questions to answer.
A maiden after 10 starts, he has hinted at ability in two AW outings. Not one of the more obvious ones, but cannot be ruled out, either.
Placed once in five starts on turf, he makes his AW debut and represents his stable for the first time. Last of six when last seen at Windsor in October, and best watched after his long absence.
Reappears after a break, but did not beat a rival on his last two starts and is passed over until showing a return to form.
Forecasts
Ataman (4/1), Synodic (5/1), Russian Reward (5/1), Bridge Of Sighs (5/1), Theos Lolly (5/1), Tom's Rock (8/1), Silver Ghost (8/1), Marmion (16/1), Saga Sprint (100/1)
SYNODIC has climbed the handicap on the back of a string of excellent displays, but can defy top weight given his fine record at this track. Russian Reward is respected, while Theos Lolly should strip fitter for his seasonal reappearance and is likely to be in the mix.
- Synodic
- Theos Lolly
- Russian Reward
