Yet to win on turf but has been progressive on the AW so has to be respected as a rare raider at this course for Mark Johnston. Likely to make the running, the colt will be a big threat if he is allowed an easy time on the front end.
Limitations were exposed toward the end of his time with Hugo Palmer but the gelding seemed to be revitalised on his debut for his current yard a fortnight ago. More required here but place claims if he hits the gates running.
Unlikely to allow Poet's Society to have the run of the race and will be a big threat if he can revert to the sort of form that saw him land a Newbury maiden without too much fuss last season. Leading player in this company despite a poor show at Doncaster when he was last seen out.
Justified favouritism in a maiden at Lingfield when last seen out; created the impression that he has plenty more to offer now he goes handicapping. Stable hitting form right now and possible that he will benefit from others setting up a strong tempo.
More exposed than some of the leading contenders but has a good attitude and has already brushed aside horses of similar ratings to the topweight. Dangerous to underestimate despite lacking the scope held by some of the rest.
Had a very busy juvenile campaign but paid his way with a couple of wins. Held off this mark in a weaker looking race at Southwell last time and has a stiff test in this more progressive company.
Won three claimers for William Haggas but was found out when upped in grade last time out on his debut for his new yard. Hard to see him have the necessary pull on these terms.
Lost his way after winning a maiden at Chepstow last summer and made very little impact on his return after being gelded. Another for the notebook only in this company.

The well-bred SFUMATO is pictured in a good light from his juvenile days and, with his yard hitting top gear in time for the summer rich pickings, he may be the best one to side with here. Poet's Society and Mutawakked both like to race with the pace, sop can help ensure the selection has the strong tempo he needs. Juan Horsepower is more exposed but is a touch cookie when he is on song, so shouldn't be underestimated either.
