Has been doing his racing at Dundalk recently including a victory there last Autumn. Has looked held since but he goes well on Tapeta and is interesting on his first appearance in this country.
Has been in good form recently, with plenty of improvement coming since he was switched to handicap company. Already 10lb higher than his opening mark but is going the right way and has shown his liking for this surface and specifically this course.
C&D winner two starts ago who is now 5lb higher but she may not have had the pace to suit when not quickening up here last time. Something to prove off this weight but not ruled out.
C&D specialist who last won here in February, not quite so impressive since but has definite claims returning to a course where he has always done well off a handicap mark that should prove to be fair for him.
No win since a Goodwood handicap in June 2015 and has looked thoroughly exposed since. Steps down in trip now but no obvious signs that that will brig about the necessary improvement.
Only victory so far has come both on the turf and in selling company, which is far from encouraging, and she is entitled to need the run after an absence.
Good win at Nottingham in October but has lost his way somewhat since. Has won on this surface before but generally looks better on turf, and others make more appeal here, even if he does have the lowest draw of all to suit.
C&D winner who returns to a more suitable trip today, but hasn't won since 2015 and has to prove that he isn't still firmly in the grasp of the handicapper. Draw not ideal either and questions over temperament remain.
Is a course winner but it is a concern that he has run most of his best races at Southwell, which is a very different track to this one despite them both having synthetic surfaces. Career-low mark now but will need to prove he can exploit that.
0/9 in his career so far and as a result goes off a feather-weight here, but has yet to show enough to suggest that she is capable of winning a race such as thise, and a result much more will be needed today.
No win since December 2014 when coming first here over a furlong further. Slight drop in trip could suit but he hasn't shown enough recently to suggest he could be involved at the finish here.

Forecasts
Lord Murphy (7/4), Stormbound (3/1), Three Majors (7/2), Outlaw Torn (9/1), Commissar (9/1), Quadriga (11/1), Spirit Of Gondree (12/1), Vivre La Reve (16/1), The King's Steed (16/1), Stamp Duty (18/1), Whitchurch (22/1), Scent Of Power (33/1), I Can't Stop (33/1)
This is a weak race where many of the contenders have little recent good form (or good form whatsoever) of which to speak. One exception to that is LORD MURPHY, who has finished in the first two in all of his three most recent starts and though he's shooting up the handicap as a result has to given careful consideration, especially as he's still unexposed. He's the tentative pick ahead of Stormbound, who may be getting away lightly at the weights even with a penalty given the manner of his win last time, while Three Majors is also interesting on his first start in Britain.
- Lord Murphy
- Stormbound
- Three Majors
