Exposed as ordinary but getting plenty of assistance from the handicapper. Place claims on the pick of his form but needs to prove he has the stamina for this trip, though.
Often held up and finishes her races with a rare rattle. But has continually been found wanting when push comes to shove. However, she goes well at this course and will be suited by the likely strong tempo. Closely matched with Whatalove, who runs in the first race, so interesting that she has managed to swerve that particular rival. Shortlist material at least in this company.
From a yard that always has to be respected at this time of year, but he has shown very little promise so far and even the combination of dropping in the weights and a useful 5bl claimer on his back does little to boost the confidence.
Stone last in her first couple of starts and weakened alarmingly quickly on her recent return over 7f at this course. Has failed to stay a mile before and is readily opposable in her bid to defy the odds of doing so this time around.
Won on the Turf from a mark of 60 but has lost his way since then. Only modest in a couple of starts for his new yard and currently has has a bit too much to prove despite being on a handy looking mark.
Finished behind London Grammar when they met at Chepstow last September but is 7lb worse-off at the weights and has a good bit to do to reverse the placings. Hard to fancy on this occasion for that reason alone.
Ran above expectations in a nursery when last seen out and may well improve for the step up in trip. The application of a hood may help him stay focused and has sound claims if he takes to the Polytrack surface. One to bear in mind.
Doesn't have the most convincing form figures but posted a respectable effort on her return to action at Lingfield last week. That effort reads well in the context of this race, so not without a chance if she can step thing up to another level.
No show in first-time blinkers when last seen out and not hard to see why she has been dropped 2lb in the ratings. More of a conundrum is how she actually achieved a rating of 48 when she has only beaten a combined total of two horses home in all her previous outing. Overlooked.

Forecasts
Metronomic (9/4), Fast Kar (3/1), Masquerade Bling (9/2), Pentito Rap (5/1), Crucial Moment (8/1), Skilful Lord (8/1), London Grammar (10/1), Joshlee (10/1), Luxford (12/1), Myredbush (25/1), Secret Willow (33/1)
The weaker of the two divisions and, assuming there is a strong enough pace, it presents MASQUERARDE BLING with a sound opportunity to finally rid herself of the maiden tag. Luxfordhas a little room for improvement and will be a threat is she can use her latest start as a platform for better things, while Skilful Lord also showed improved form when last seen out and doesn't have too much to find to get competitive in this company. London Grammar has a bit to prove just now, so Fast Kar may prove to be the best alternative of those likely to priced up at longer odds.
- Masquerade Bling
- Luxford
- Skilful Lord
