Only had two previous starts despite his age, but has shown some promise on both of them. Has much less of an absence to overcome this time and it will be interesting to see how he does with the benefit of a run.
Has run two solid races so far in the manner that suggests there could be more to come, and he should be involved near the finish for some top connections.
Good looking second on debut at Newmarket, and should prove himself to be a leading contender here if able to build on that performance in any way.
Sixth over C&D on debut and not totally disgraced in defeat on that occasion, but others have made more promising beginnings to their careers.
Makes his seasonal reappearance having run two fairly forgettable races last term, in the manner that suggests him winning a maiden is probably going to be a big ask. Best watched.
Makes his racecourse debut having cost £24,000 as a two-year-old. Already gelded, which doesn't cause massive enthusiasm, but there is plenty of winning form in his pedigree.
Fair fifth on debut at Lingfield last month and could learn from that experience to get involved here, but he doesn't have the best form on paper.
Son of Dubawi out of a Listed race winning mare with plenty of Group winners in the pedigree. More than worth a check in the market on debut.
Has run two solid races to start his career off, but was mildly disappointing when finishing only sixth last time out. Others hold more convincing claims.
Forecasts
Bowerman (1/3), Blue On Blue (4/1), Hippocampus (10/1), Delannoy (14/1), Ply (20/1), Bosphorus Prince (33/1), Chance To Dream (40/1), The Raven Master (40/1), Higgy's Heartbeat (66/1)
There are a lot of lightly raced horses in this field, even by the standards of a maiden, so it's difficult to tell exactly who could improve enough to win. The tentative vote goes to BOWERMAN, who ran a fine race to finish second on debut at Newcastle. He could take a lot of beating, but has to contend with the likes of Ply, and his very exciting pedigree, as well as Blue on Blue, from whom there could be plenty more to come.
- Bowerman
- Ply
- Blue On Blue
