Winner of a Thirsk maiden last summer (5f) he makes his Fibresand debut after a break. Disappointed on all three starts in handicaps off higher marks than this but his sire isn't well-known for his Fibresand successes.
A regular on this surface and had fallen so far in the handicap it had become hard for him not to score on his penultimate start. That was his first win over 6f here and he failed to follow that effort up under a penalty over the same trip. Slow starts have been a problem now and in the past.
Comes from a stable in good form but ran poorly over 5f on her only start here before. Returned to form from out of the blue in October over 5f at Nottingham bit failed to follow that run up over the same course and distance and not seen since.
Rather quirky sort who can look a little awkward but has won three times over C&D this year. His win last time out showed that he was still going the right way but he did have the race run to suit (had a couple of today's rivals behind) and will need to be on another going day here.
Drawn 1 which can be a problem over this C&D but is a course winner in the past over 7f. Twice a turf winner last year she's not shown much of late and she returns from a break here.
Four-time winner on the Flat but all those wins have come on the turf and she's never really shown her best here apart from the odd run.
Useful handicapper who has shown that he acts around here and the handicapper is giving him a chance. Beaten by Big Amigo here last time out he wasn't seen at his best (hampered) and remains of interest of what is a very competitive mark.

A competitive opener to the eight race card with several of these having been in very good form on the surface of late. Both Treaty Of Rome and Big Amigohave to be respected on their form of late around here as does Crosse Fire although his shoddy starts can be a problem. MESHARDAL is becoming far too well handicapped to ignore though and he looked as though he was getting ready to strike when third here last time out.
