Regular in these amateur riders events in 2016 scoring twice under today's rider. Most recent success came on the AW at Wolverhampton over 1m4f on his penultimate outing though disappointed off this 3lb higher mark here subsequently. One for the shortlist.
Registered his third victory at Southwell when wearing blinkers for the first time over 1m4f last month. Jockey has a very good record in these amateur riders events and likely to run well here.
Four time winner on the Flat but failed to win on turf during 2016. Now rated 3lb lower than when successful on the AW at Wolverhampton in January and has a promising young jockey in the saddle here.
Ran well when finishing third on the AW in October and put a poor run the following month behind him when a solid fourth at Kempton in January. Jockey is one to note in these races and now rated 4lb lower than when narrowly beaten at Chepstow in August.
Victorious off a 1lb higher mark on good-to-firm ground when winning at Yarmouth over 1m6f in July last year. Well beaten in the main since and likely to find a few too good here.
Disappointing in five AW starts this winter including when last of seven at Southwell over 1m6f in March.. Drops in trip here but yet to win in 13 starts on turf.
Successful in a maiden handicap at Yarmouth off a 2lb lower mark in June. Finished last on next two starts but more promise the last twice including when third over this trip at Brighton on his penultimate outing.
Had three starts so far in 2017 winning at Newcastle over an extended 2m on his penultimate outing. Subsequently finished runner-up over the same C&D a month ago and interesting with a good young jockey taking the ride here.
Well held when seventh off a 2lb higher mark on last Flat outing at Haydock last May. Has been racing over fences since and rewarded with a success at Newton Abbot in October. May find a few of these have too much pace for him here.
Well beaten on debut for previous yard and a similar result in two maiden outings on the AW for current stable. Making his handicap debut here.
Finished third off this mark in a 2m handicap on his latest outing in this sphere at Catterick in August. Placed over hurdles at Cartmel subsequently but well beaten on return from nearly six months off the track in a hurdle at Wetherby last month. Has won twice under today's jockey.
Well beaten in three AW starts for this yard in late 2016. Well handicapped on old form but both wins have come over much shorter including off an 8lb higher mark at Dundalk in November 2015.
Winner over 1m4f at Wolverhampton in January 2016 but lightly raced since and well beaten over C&D when last of eight early last season. Having his first run since being gelded here.
Regularly partnered by today's jockey in both hurdle and Flat races. The partnership finished a 24L fourth at Catterick over hurdles in February with their best Flat effort coming when third at Windsor in August 2016. Racing off a 7lb lower mark here but likely to find a few too good.
Winner of a 1m3f handicap at Carlisle in August 2015 but well beaten on only subsequent Flat start at Musselburgh. Has been racing over fences of late and finished a well beaten eighth last time out. Has a bit to prove here.

DUKE OF YORKSHIRE was successful on his seasonal re-appearance in 2016 and regularly ran in amateur rider events for the rest of the season. The selection won a similar race to this on the AW at Wolverhampton off a 3lb lower mark in August and can claim a third victory under today's rival in this competitive looking contest. Royal Flag finished runner-up at Newcastle last month and is likely to have a fitness edge on a number of his rivals here while his jockey has made a good start to his career with a 20% strike-rate (3/15) on the Flat. Of the remainder The Ducking Stool regularly runs well under today's jockey and can do so again here while Deep Resolve has a top jockey in these amateur races booked to ride here.
