Yet to run on the AW and makes her debut on an artificial surface here. Won twice as a juvenile at Goodwood (on debut) and Bath (on handicap debut) although her form tailed off in two subsequent nursery starts. Come back from a winter break now and difficult to know what to expect over the longest trip she has tried so far.
Placed twice around this course and a dual AW winner at Wolverhampton. Been far more consistent since being fitted with a visor (21331) and has shown his best form when able to gain a lead in a small field which may prove a problem here.
Showed some decent form when second in a void race at the end of February and had also won his prior race a Wolverhampton 6f maiden. Makes his handicap debut now having looked to get his career back on track after being disappointing at the end of his juvenile career.
Won a C&D maiden in first-time cheekpieces to get her off the mark when a short-priced favourite. That was a fairly easy assignment though and she will find life a lot tougher as she makes her first start in a handicap.
Had three modest runs for his former yard as a juvenile last year and makes his first start for his new yard stepping into handicaps for the first time. His breeding suggests that he would be a bit better over further but his current yard have done well with this type before.
Winner of a Kempton Park 5f juvenile event on his second start early last season. Well below that form by the end of the year and it remains to be seen if the winter break has rejuvenated him.
Still without a success after six tries on the AW over different trips although 6f looks to suit him best. Finished runner-up twice over C&D but is more exposed than a lot of these as he makes his second handicap start.
Forecasts
Right Action (9/4), Sword Exceed (5/2), Allegheny Bay (9/2), Peachey Carnehan (8/1), Porto Ferro (12/1), Quench Dolly (12/1), Stringybark Creek (12/1)
There could be a couple of improvers in this and it’s not hard to see RIGHT ACTION being one of them after his good recent win at Wolverhampton and he also shaped well in a void race at Chelmsford. Sword Exceed is the other one who could well improve stepping into handicaps and he wouldn’t be the first “cast-off” that his yard have done well with. The two fillies Quench Dolly and Porto Ferro can’t be discounted either as the former may well have enjoyed her winter break and the latter does at least have form over this C&D.
- Right Action
- Sword Exceed
- Porto Ferro
