Ran well at Thirsk in May but has only finished ahead of four horses in his next six starts. He will be better for his latest pipe opener and we are approaching his time of the year.
Now raised 4lb for his C&D success but has run well in defeat off this mark before. Has often found one or two too good and that could be the case again here.
Closely matched with both Sir Billy Wright and Escalating on recent form. Has been in good form his winter but it is beginning to look as though the handicapper has her measure.
Has something to find with Sir Billy Wright and Escalating judged on his defeats to them since his win here in selling company. Goes well here but his latest effort needs to be excused to give him a chance.
Had six wins for Amanda Perrett but has now finished last on his two most recent starts including his debut for new trainer. Yet to race on this surface but it would be a surprise if that should raise his game to the level required to win this.
Won here on her racecourse debut and ran well on only other start here. Went off hard in front when scoring at Nottingham in November and is just 2lb higher here. Will be all the better for her first run of the current campaign and she cannot be dismissed.
Five of her six wins have come February-April. Rider partners the majority of the yard's winners and she will come on for her latest effort which was her first in six months. This mark has looked beyond her in the past.
Closely matched with Dungannon judged by his win here in January under today's young rider. Found trouble in running last time and should give a better account here having won off a similar mark before.
Both career victories have been for today's rider including one over C&D. Handicap mark is not taxing on her first run for Sarah Hollinshead.

Few of these appeal as being well handicapped at present. ESCALATING gets a tentative vote as he appeared to win with a bit to spare last time and the market confidence behind him then would support that view. New Road Side is capable of making all at this level whilst Sir Billy Wright is often involved in the finish and may well do so again.
