Has run consistently in four maiden/novice contests so far, and returns from a break since November. First crack at 7f is interesting but best watched on handicap debut.
Maiden winner at Chelmsford in September having been runner-up on debut. Opening mark seems fair and step up in trip should help. Big chance.
Last seen in a harder race than this on the turf at Epsom in September, finishing a 9L fifth. Hard to see him getting involved on that evidence, but is 5 lb lower which will help.
Returns from a moderate break having run very consistently in AW handicaps last summer/autumn. Could be a big player returned to a trip he's won over in the past. Wide draw to overcome, though.
Ran well in three maidens and makes handicap debut here today. Difficult to work out how suitable her mark is but the trip is a big plus.
Won a Brighton maiden in August before making it two in a row on handicap debut here a month later. Has struggled with his rise in the weights since, but maybe worth chancing back down to 7f after he didn't fully see out the mile last time. Draw is a positive.
Won a maiden at Leicester in May but has shown little since and is best watched on her first run for both a new yard and at this specialist trip.
Has improved on each start so far, especially when tackling this trip for the first time at Wolverhampton most recently. Strong claims on handicap debut if equally as effective here.
Forecasts
Lord Clenaghcastle (5/2), Marzouq (11/4), Tai Hang Dragon (7/1), Jumping Jack (7/1), La Guapita (7/1), Mister Sunshine (17/2), Rapid Rise (11/1), Baby Gal (66/1)
This isn't a bad race for a Class 5 Handicap, and they should go a fair pace. With that in mind it could pay to back something that has form over 7f as opposed to a natural sprinter, and LORD CLENAGHCASTLE fits the bill. A C&D winner, he didn't see out a mile here when disappointing in November, and is worth another chance from the lowest draw. Marzouq looks progressive and could be a big danger if the extra furlong suits, while it was a much better performance from Tai Hang Dragon last time out.
1. Lord Clenaghcastle
2. Marzouq
3. Tai Hang Dragon
