Consistent sort generally and won well last time out when allowed to dominate from the front last time out, however, carries a 6lb penalty for that had the run of the race somewhat; likely to have more on his plate here.
One win from 10 starts and failed to build on minor promise seen at Wolverhampton two starts back when finishing seventh of 12 at Kempton last time.
Useful type on the AW recording five wins from 38 starts but has a career high mark to contend with after putting in two career best performances at Wolverhampton in January. Hard to see him improving at this age and has a horror draw to boot.
Won on debut over two years ago but hasn't got too close since, despite various aids. Best effort for a while last time and headgear returns today with a set of cheekpieces but hard to fancy.
Proved he stayed this far on first attempt at this trip last time and finished third despite meeting some interference on the home straight. Still needs to step up on that though and has only recorded one win on the AW to date.
Finally got his act together when stepped up in trip recently, recording back-to-back wins at Wolverhampton. Only been raised a total of 6lb for those efforts and good chance of recording a hat-trick here.
Ran well beating a well-backed useful rival last time at Lingfield and was unlucky not to win the time before, losing out by a nose when caught on the line. That rival has come out and won again since so the form has a solid look to it and holds every chance with the yard in flying form.
Recorded ten wins in his career but age looks like it's starting to catch up with him and needs to bounce back.
Still a maiden after 17 starts and still hasn't placed on the AW, including when third of seven in a seller at Lingfield last time. Will need to step up on that form in a big way back in a handicap here.
Tailed off on last three starts and form on latest win at Leicester in August looks relatively poor so looks set to struggle for a trainer who hasn't had a winner on the AW for over 12 months.
Recorded ninth career win last time at Lingfield, benefiting from a smart Adam Kirby ride. Still well handicapped on 2014 form but may not be the force of old and doesn't usually put back-to-back performances together. 5lb claimer takes over.
Not won since 2015 and finished last of 12 here last time. Has won four times on the AW but never won in a handicap off a mark this high.
Scored from a basement mark at Salisbury and not looked back since. Recorded back-to-back wins at Wolverhampton last month and goes unpenalised for latest win in apprentice race (due to go up 5lb in future). Hat-trick bid far from out of the question provided he proves as effective on polytrack.
Forecasts
Boychick (7/2), Kingthistle (5/1), Ravens Quest (6/1), Pivotman (7/1), Glenalmond (8/1), Maverik (12/1), Fantasy Gladiator (12/1), Boycie (14/1), Cornelious (14/1), Trending (16/1), Firestorm (16/1), Heads You Win (20/1), Power Up (50/1)
Kingthistle and BOYCHICK both come here in search of recording a hat-trick and it's the latter who is narrowly preferred, escaping a 5lb rise in the weights due to the conditions of his last race. He's transformed his form since the end of the summer while the former has only gone up a total 6lb for two impressive wins at Wolverhampton over the festive period. Heads You Win was a little unlucky not to win last time and looks capable of running a place provided his wide draw (12) doesn't inconvenience him.
1. Boychick
2. Kingthistle
3. Heads You Win
