Had shown improved form for Ali Stronge, landing a seller on debut for her at Wolverhampton in October. Beaten by half a length over 6f on the Fibresand at Southwell (seller) last week, and makes her debut for another new trainer here down in trip in first time blinkers.

A winner of a C&D maiden on penultimate start in November and up sharply in grade over 6f here the following month when finishing fifth of six in a Class 4 nursery. That form has been well advertised by Zamjar (winner since), and this grade looks much easier with the drop back to 5f ideal.

Off since September (has been gelded), but did show form on synthetic surfaces in two runs on the AW during the summer months, the best of which came when third of nine at Wolverhampton to a shock 200/1 winner in July. Drops to a mark of 63 with riders 7lb claim (rode his first winner at Southwell recently) helpful.

Made all for this rider in his regular visor to take a C&D seller by two lengths in mid December. His mark has taken a hit (raised 5lbs) to 63, but could make another bold bid from the front. Finished third (Pulsating second) here over 6f on penultimate start.

Showed signs of ability in turf maidens at Nottingham and Redcar in October, but three runs on the AW so far haven't been as promising. However, was nearest at the finish when finishing sixth over this C&D early last month and not totally discounted from falling mark (62).

Has run consistently well of late including against the progressive Dazacam on a few occasions. A clear second best to the improving Royal Celebration at Newcastle last week, and worth trying at this sharper track given her run style. Much respected.

Left previous form behind when a shock 33/1 winner of a C&D maiden early last month, and fully feasible that Spin Top could set this race up for her. Only sixth next time at Chelmsford on handicap debut (dropped 1lb), but that form looks rock solid, featuring an improving winner, a third that has won since and a fourth that was runner up on Tapeta at Newcastle recently.

Entitled to have needed the run at Wolverhampton earlier this month, and drops back to 5f here in the first time hood on handicap debut from a mark of 59, but hardly looks a ready made winner.

Down the field in three runs in maiden company, but did show speed last time on Soft ground at Windsor in October. Make handicap debut here after a break, but needs to show improvement to figure.

Forecasts

Roundabout Magic (4/1), Little Miss Daisy (9/2), Snuggy (9/2), Spin Top (5/1), Dream Reversion (5/1), Goodwood Crusader (7/1), Pulsating (10/1), Little Nosegay (14/1), Dashing Poet (20/1), Popsilca (33/1)

Verdict

A strong pace looks assured with Spin Top and Popsilca likely to battle for the lead. This kind of strong early pace suited Little Miss Daisy when she picked up the pieces in a C&D maiden last month, and whilst at first glance her handicap debut was a moderate one, that form has been well franked by both Erissimus Maximus and Marquee Club. Snuggy ran well on the demanding Newcastle Tapeta last week and is well worth trying at this track from a reasonable mark of 62, but the vote goes to ROUNDABOUT MAGIC who was far from disgraced in a Class 4 event last time, and a drops back to the minimum trip here appearing nailed on to produced another good run. 1. Roundabout Magic 2. Snuggy 3. Little Miss Daisy
