Very little promise in five starts to date and market can reveal expectations, having debut for new yard.
Rattled off back-to-back wins on the Flat at the end of 2015 but not been in any form over hurdles or the Flat of late. Hard to fancy with a jockey on board whose still in search of first winner.
Beaten by 31 horses in four races since being returned to the AW but drops another pound today and has the assistance of a talented claimer. Needs more.
One win from 23 runs and evidently a difficult horse to catch right but recorded a decent placed effort at this track three starts back, staying on well to take second and this jockey seemed to get on well with him that day.
Stepped up in trip since September onward, and largely consistent. Posted best effort in late September when second to subsequent dual Newcastle scorer Stamford Raffles, which represents a solid level of form in this grade and put in a good effort when second here on last Flat start. Respected at the very least.
Bit of a quirky sort but knows how to get his head in front. Most recent win came over C&D in 2016 and he's two pound lower than that mark today. Every chance if getting on better with jockey than he did last time (unseated in race).
Unplaced on all six career starts and needs the big step up in trip to make the world of difference.
Unplaced on all four career starts and no promise in recent efforts. Tough draw makes him even tougher to fancy.
Shown some promise in recent starts and seemed a little unlucky not to get closer last time. However, likely to need to step up on that effort to get involved.
Barely beaten a rival home on first five starts and more encouragement needed to be seen on stable debut for this yard to be of interest here.
One win from 44 starts but that did come in a race over C&D. Unplaced on last four starts though and hard to fancy.
Having first run for this yard after leaving Mick Channon's yard. Showed very little for him and this trainer's strike rate is low. Jockey hasn't rode a winner for over a year so not exactly a team in form. Has an absence to overcome.
Significant absence to overcome and only beaten four rivals home in four starts to date.
Forecasts
Graceful Lady (10/3), Staplehurst (6/1), Ali Bin Nayef (6/1), Mulled Wine (7/1), Katalan (8/1), Smoky Hill (12/1), Mybrotherjohnny (12/1), Salient (16/1), Awesome Rock (20/1), Sixties Idol (25/1), Lions Charge (25/1), Divine Prince (33/1), Cornelius (33/1)
Adam Kirby recorded a placed effort on ALI BIN NAYEF on the only time they have partnered up and he may have learned plenty from that experience. He's taken to go one better and record the horse's second career win. Graceful Lady has some decent form in the book and finished second to Stamford Raffles five starts back, that rival looks set to be rated 80 when reassessed so claims if she returns in that kind of form. Staplehurst is one to watch in the betting market on handicap debut.
1. Ali Bin Nayef
2. Graceful Lady
3. Staplehurst
