Hinted at a return to form before mid-season break. First-run for new yard and returning from an absence. Well-being is taken on trust and most of his success has been over 7f.
Three wins this year, two of which have come over C&D but hasn't been in the same form of late and needs to raise his game but any return to form would see him with an excellent chance here.
Three-time course winner who is back down to her last winning mark. Last five wins have come with cheekpieces on and they return today. While she's tough to recommend on current form, her placed effort around here in February would be good enough to win this.
Best effort to date when third of 11 at this course last time. Back-up in trip and needs to find more.
Zero from 24 across both codes and recent reappearance at this course gave little encouragement of a return to form.
Failed to beat a rival home the last twice but down to last winning mark at least. Needs the break to have reinvigorated her.
Still a maiden but has run well in defeat recently and is one of the only runners in the field currently in form. Every chance he can get his head in front today.
One win from 40 runs and has been badly out of form of late. Trainer has poor strike-rate with Flat performers and hard to fancy.
Failed to place on five starts to date and doesn't look capable of defying a lowly handicap mark. Needs the change of yard to bring out some improvement.
Two-time winner for Kevin Ryan but has failed to make the frame in 16 starts over the past 18 months and another who needs the change of stable to work wonders.
Back up in trip but has failed to place in 24 starts on the Flat and impossible to recommend.
Placed over C&D five times but was pulled up on last two jumps outings and well-being has to be questioned.
Unplaced on all six career starts and the step-up in trip needs to bring out significant improvement.
Forecasts
Orlando Rogue (7/4), Deftera Lad (4/1), Kodiac Lady (7/1), Mount Cheiron (7/1), Tanzina (8/1), Zed Candy Girl (14/1), Simply Clever (20/1), Noneedtotellme (20/1), New Tarabela (20/1), Firgrove Bridge (25/1), Thrtypointstothree (33/1), Seamoor Secret (50/1), Moment To Dream (66/1)
A particularly weak handicap but if Mount Cherion returned to form he would take all the beating in this contest. Zed Candy Girl is one with a similar profile and returns to her last winning mark but DEFTERA LAD is perhaps the more solid option. He's been running well without winning and if he's ever going to get his head in front, it could be here.
1. Deftera Lad
2. Mount Cheiron
3. Zed Candy Girl
