Wolverhampton Maiden winner (6/4f) on her second start. Fourth of 13 on nursery debut over C&D (from this mark) late last month on sole subsequent appearance. Outpaced in the closing stages behind two of these rivals, and might need to step up beyond a mile to be seen at her strongest.
Raced only on Tapeta to date, with his best effort coming on debut at Newcastle in August when third to Mushaireb and Sincil Bank. Nursery debut today.
Raced on both turf and Tapeta in a seven race career so far. Runner up to Rashford's Double at Newcastle in late October but lost his way since, including when in at the deep end in a Class 2 race at Wolverhampton. Polytrack debut.
A low key start in Epsom and Windsor Maidens before a clear career best third behind Sir Michael Stoute and Saeed Bin Suroor trained horses in a Course and Distance Maiden in mid October. Nursery debut after 62 day break.
Runner up in a muddling race over C&D late last month (in front of some of today's rivals). However, went one better next time over a shorter trip when a comfortable one and three quarter length scorer. Raised six pounds by the assessor to a mark of 72, but thrives at this track (2,2,1 here). Clear chance.
A couple of placed efforts to his name on turf, but seemingly held by Emenem, Quothquan and African Beat on their running here late last month.
Held up, and stayed on without quite ever being able to challenge when one and a half lengths third to Habbad here last month (Emenem second, African Beat fourth). Closely matched with that duo on that evidence, but perhaps more of an exposed profile overall.
Has shaped in all four of her career starts as if a trip of a minimum of one mile is required (despite a largely sprint-based pedigree). Something to find with Emenem on their most recent clash but this trip can help.
A positive showing for Washington Blue would be a good pointer for Texas Katie (4.40). Steps up to a mile today for only the second time, with improvement required at this trip to figure.
Polytrack debut, with sole All-Weather start (second) coming on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton in August. Off since mid-October when finishing sixth over seven furlongs (Newmarket) to Tap Tap Boom. First attempt at this trip.
Not raced on a synthetic surface since debut at Chelmsford in August. Fallen from a mark of 73 in September to 67 today. Has raced over further (ten furlongs) and with the run of the race from the front is possibly capable of better.
Stablemate of Suffragette City, and like that horse steps upto a mile for the first time. Raced mainly over six furlongs to date with only moderate promise so others readily preferred.
A ready winner on debut at Pontefract in June, before less promise in her next four starts, finishing in front of only one rival in these races. Falling in the Handicap as a result, and now one pound lower than when finishing second to Ronnie The Rooster at Newcastle in November. Capable but inconsistent.
Possibly remembering an unfortunate clipping of heels at Wolverhampton in August, and below par in two starts since. Work to do to reverse course placings with Emenem and Pobbles.
Forecasts
African Beat (11/8), Emenem (4/1), Quothquan (6/1), Suspect Package (8/1), Washington Blue (11/1), Suffragette City (16/1), Spirit Of Belle (20/1), Mullarkey (20/1), Pobbles (25/1), Baileys Apprentice (25/1), No Not Again (33/1), Fancy Day (33/1), Upgrade (40/1), Broughtons Story (100/1)
The debut effort produced by Suspect Package would give him a fair chance at this level, but it's probably best to concentrate on the form line which saw EMENEM come out the best of a number of today's runners over Course and Distance last month. Whilst this race was a muddling affair, Emenem can be fancied to confirm placings with Quothquan and African Beat who promises to be suited by a greater stamina test.
1. Emenem
2. Suspect Package
3. African Beat
