4th Foal. Half sister to various winners between six and ten furlongs. Dam unplaced at sprint trips as a two-year-old. 12/1; raced prominently, weakened from the furlong pole on recent course debut.

170,000 Guineas Yearling. Kept on well after dwelling at the start on debut at Newcastle last month chasing home a debutant stablemate of Dancing Breeze. Likely to be wiser for the experience but different surface here and less of an emphasis on stamina.

Second Foal. Four career starts to date, but off since mid August when weakening rapidly (eighth) behind Blushing Rose. Previous second placed effort (over seven furlongs) demonstrates she does have some ability.

Cheap Yearling (£1,700) and not seen since finishing 11 of 12 in a Goodwood Fillies Maiden back in July. Little appeal.

Forecasts

Gallifrey (5/4), Snow Squaw (7/2), Magical Forest (4/1), Dancing Breeze (5/1), Piaffe (6/1), Ocean Promise (6/1), Beyond Recall (20/1), Starlight Circus (20/1), Vrika Bay (33/1), Mayflair (33/1), Glassalt (66/1)

Verdict

Gallifrey is entitled to improve for a promising debut effort at Newcastle, but encounters both the different test of Polytrack, and racing around a bend for the first time. Piaffe is worth monitoring for market support, whilst Snow Squaw has already demonstrated a reasonable level of ability here over a slightly shorter trip. However, DANCING BREEZE is the selection on her racecourse debut for John Gosden. Her trainer has a fair line on the ability of various runners in this race through other horses he trains, and is always respected in these events. 1. Dancing Breeze 2. Gallifrey 3. Piaffe
