A humdinger of a renewal of this illustrious Grade 1, with the legendary Un De Sceaux returning for his seventh consecutive season in-training. He is likely to bowl along in front but would appreciate deeper ground. Sceau Royal posted a career-best when third in the Champion Chase, before finishing best of the rest behind Altior over C&D.Defi Du Seuil is the up and coming improver who made a winning return to action when taking advantage of the 3lb he was receiving from POLITILOGUE. However, the pair are now off level weights and the latter won this race in 2017 when benefitting from a prep run. He can do so again to give his trainer an 11th win in this race.
