Regal Decree (11/2), Steel Helmet (11/2), Great Colaci (6/1), Masquerade Bling (7/1), Darvie (8/1), Isntshesomething (11/1), Excellent Story (12/1), Mr Coco Bean (14/1), Grey Destiny (14/1), Tango Sky (16/1), Broughtons Fancy (22/1), Simmo's Partytrick (25/1), Vecheka (40/1), Kelpie Spirit (66/1)

Verdict

Plenty of interwoven form-lines in Division 1 of this low grade 7f handicap. Great Colaci is unbeaten over this C&D, and also was just on top of Kelpie Spirit when scoring at Musselburgh in June, and whilst respected, he's maybe just gone off the boil a fraction of late. Regal Decree is a ten race maiden, but is closely matched with fellow nine race maiden Darvie on their July Redcar clash in which Clear As A Belle just edged out the pair. However, Darvie will potentially prove most suited by this stiff 7f trip with his most recent Doncaster effort appearing fairly solid form. With no strong preference, a chance is taken on the top-weighted GREY DESTINY. He's broadly consistent, and with fairly respectable course form (over 1m) could well out run his projected odds.
  1. Grey Destiny
  2. Darvie
  3. Regal Decree
