Compas Scoobie is in flying form and comes here chasing a hat-trick but the handicapper has had a strong say now and that might just be enough to level the 4yo for the time being. The returning Aleef is one to note in the market and would be capable of a big run if primed off a break while Discreet Hero and Midnight Malibu are certainly not ruled out. Despite failing to win in four attempts, BOOM THE GROOM actually has a fairly likeable record over this C&D. He's twice gone well in the helter-skelter of the Dash and hit the frame previously in two handicaps. He's been a bit off colour since his run here in June, so require some trust now, but off the lowest mark he's raced here might be up to giving this a crack at a decent price.
