Low-mileage sort who shaded a tight finish at Windsor (1¼m, firm) in June before good fifth of 17 at Glorious Goodwood (1¼m, good to firm) in July. All-weather winner who should be competitive if ready to roll after 101 days off. Tongue tie worn on last 3 outings is left off.
Pretty useful winner on all-weather in France. Off 5 months (had breathing operation), never dangerous when seventh of 14 in 1m Kempton handicap (33/1) for new yard 25 days ago. Best watched again unless the betting suggests otherwise.
Winning debut over 7f at Salisbury last autumn and better form in defeat in 1m novices on return in August, going down by a head at Lingfield (all-weather) latterly. Moves up to 1¼m for handicap debut. Unexposed for top stable.
Shaped well several times this year before scoring in impressive fashion at York in September. Good fifth under penalty in strong 3-y-o race at Doncaster St Leger meeting just 4 days later. Well backed but withdrawn after getting upset in stalls on intended outing at York last month. Tapeta debut.
Left debut form behind to win maiden at Ascot (1¼m, good to firm) in May. Well held in a listed race at Goodwood on much softer ground the following month but back on the up after a break when third of 6 on handicap debut at Newmarket (1¼m) 5 weeks ago. Tongue tied first time. Likely more to come.
Dual Redcar scorer this season and went close to another win there last week. His hold-up style dictates that he needs things to drop right to some extent but he's nicely treated off the same mark.
Useful 3-time winner in France but has just the one creditable effort to show from 7 outings for current yard. All-weather debut.
Dual course winner last year. Respectable seventh of 14 on C&D Good Friday reappearance. Has struggled on turf since but could fare better back on his favoured surface.
Scored for second time when making successful start to handicap career at Ayr in July, getting up late to deny a next-time-out winner. Disappointed on next 2 starts but back on form after a short break (gelded) when fourth of 11 over 1m at Southwell 18 days ago. Claims if he can build on that.
Free-going sort who won here as a juvenile and added to his tally in 1¼m Sandown handicap at the end of August. That was his first attempt at this trip and he's respected off 4 lb higher.
Hold-up type who won over C&D last year and capitalised on a career-low mark at Redcar (1¼m) in September. Good placed efforts on 2 of his 3 outings since and one of 2 with a shout for Tim Easterby.
Confirmed debut promise when narrow winner of 7f course novice last October. Not seen again until last of 11 in 1m Southwell handicap 18 days ago. Cheekpieces and a longer trip are tried on the back of that. Can only watch this time.
Successful at Yarmouth (11.5f) in June on final outing for Ross Burdon but hasn't beaten many rivals in 6 subsequent starts for new yard. Falling in the weights as a result but best watched unless the betting says otherwise.
Three-time C&D winner but on a lengthy losing run. Only fourth in a seller at Musselburgh last time and bit of a surprise were he to resume winning ways in a race as competitive as this.

Forecasts
Sovereign View (7/2), Black Chiffon (4/1), Twisting Physics (13/2), Rajapour (7/1), Stoneacre Donny (7/1), Per Contra (8/1), Light Of Paris (10/1), Bearish (10/1), Moonlight Warrior (16/1), Bragbor (25/1), Humble Spark (33/1), Caromb (33/1), High Point (50/1), Nizam (66/1)
There's a feeling the 3-y-os may come to the fore in this competitive opener. SOVEREIGN VIEW was tackling 1¼m for the first time when successful at Sandown in August and is narrowly preferred to Stoneacre Donny. Low-mileage pair Light of Paris and Black Chiffon are other 3-y-os with something to recommend them. Rajapour and Per Contra may prove best of the older brigade.
