Proved better than ever when won 13-runner event over 1m at Pontefract in October. Up 4 lb and still has stamina to prove back up in trip.

£68,000 buy out of Mrs J. Harrington's stable and has shown something to work on both starts since, including when third of 6 over 1½m at Southwell 29 days ago. Now drops back in trip.

Off the mark in handicaps at Doncaster in July and recent sixth of 7 at Sandown 54 days ago showed more than bare result suggests. Eased slightly in the weights and should be able to prove competitive in this grade.

Runner-up over this trip in successive handicaps, the latest when second of 9 to well-treated rival at Newmarket 13 days ago and the one before that working out well. Yet to win a race which is a concern but recent form suggests he should be bang there.

Back to form when second of 10 in a handicap over 1m at Leicester 9 days ago having slipped down to last winning mark. Step back up in trip and ground no issue here and he's lightly raced this year so merits plenty of respect despite facing much younger rivals.

Creditable third of 13 at Haydock over this trip in September but not so good when fourth of 9 at Pontefract last time. More required here.

Nowhere near his Irish form since joining current yard this year and last 2 efforts especially dismal.

Won over 1½m at Brighton in September 2025 and almost repeated the trick in same race this time around, bumping into a 3-y-o improver. Back up in grade and down in trip here so this may prove trickier.

Landed her first handicap win at Redcar over this trip in September, then followed up there 22 days ago when making all but only just holding on. Up 3 lb and this looks a deeper race but she's clearly in good form.

Forecasts

Arbaawy (3/1), Tele Red (9/2), Night Patrol (9/2), Love You Back (6/1), Now Maybe (13/2), Royal Poetry (10/1), Selection (10/1), Lady Hornblower (18/1), Naples (33/1)

Verdict

TELE RED returned to form when a close second at Leicester 9 days ago and is on a winning mark over a trip and ground that suits him, so he's well worth chancing up against younger rivals here. Arbaawy has been in consistent form with successive runner-up efforts and a deserved first success shouldn't be far away, while Royal Poetry ran better than her latest result suggests.
