Admirable dual-purpose performer who finished eighth in the Melbourne Cup last year. Offered more than on return when second of 8 in minor event at this course (1½m, good to soft, 11/2) 12 days ago but asked a bigger question now.
Won this contest last season and ran right up to best when defying top weight in Irish Cesarewitch at this course in September. Not in quite same form at Saint-Cloud since but looks a major player here.
Smart gelding at best but below par in a couple of Meydan runs for Charlie Appleby earlier this year. Now in care of Willie Mullins and is worth a second look in the market.
Run with credit in handicaps since joining Joseph O'Brien, latest when eighth of 15 at Leopardstown 14 days ago. This is much tougher, though. Visor back on.
Sole Flat success came in a Leopardstown maiden in 2024. Has acquitted herself with plenty of credit in ultra-competitive staying handicaps this season but it's hard to see her getting back on the scoreboard in this company.
Useful filly who posted a career best when winning 11-runner listed race at Longchamp (1¾m, good) 59 days ago. More needed here but she must be respected.
Bounced back to form when winning 14-runner listed race at Naas (1½m, soft) 21 days ago. Work to do with principals here but she may be suited by this stiffer test of stamina.
Useful gelding who upped his game when taking 17-runner handicap (14/1) at Naas (2m, soft) 21 days ago. This demands more but further improvement may be forthcoming.
Stepped up on debut to win 1¼m Leopardstown maiden before a good second in listed race at Navan in May. Resumed progress, back from 4 months off, when fourth in Prix Chaudenay at Longchamp 29 days ago and remains low mileage.
Made a successful return in the Cheshire Oaks and back in top form with third in St Leger at Doncaster in September. Run solid races at Ascot and Saint Cloud since and looks sure to make her presence felt here.
Won maiden at the Curragh in April and not disgraced in better company since. Has plenty on her plate here, however, and is untried over this longer trip.

Forecasts
Amelia Earhart (2/1), Asakir (10/3), Abbotsford (11/2), Chally Chute (8/1), Sky Captain (9/1), Snapretend (10/1), Galileo Dame (22/1), Endless Victory (22/1), Absurde (22/1), Marazion (28/1), Chasing Paradise (80/1)
Last year's winner CHALLY CHUTE wasn't at his best at Saint-Cloud last week but had posted a borderline smart performance when landing the Irish Cesarewitch here previously and is fancied to take this prize home again. Amelia Earhart and Asakir are feared most.
- Chally Chute8/1
- Asakir10/3
