Hurdles/Flat winner who made a positive start reunited with this yard when twice placed on all-weather in February. Has shaped as if back in form on turf in recent months and he's an each-way player back up in trip here for all he's yet to defy a mark this high.
Performed well over hurdles last winter and well prepared to make a winning return from 6 months off on the level at Ascot (2m) 3 weeks ago, making all. 3 lb rise in the weights should see him competitive again and he remains unexposed on all-weather.
Useful performer who was back to the form he showed when third in the Chester Cup when fourth of 7 in handicap at Newbury (2m, firm) in July. Faced a stiff task back in listed company at first-named venue the following month and whilst this more suitable, he does need to settle better.
Thrived during the last all-weather campaign, registering another success at Wolverhampton in March. Struggled in some high-end turf handicaps thereafter but given a break ahead of this and no surprise to see a better showing reunited with Billy Loughnane.
Losing run is mounting up but he ran one of this season's better races when fourth at Newbury (13.3f) 32 days ago, staying on to be nearest at the finish. Lines up operating from lowest mark of the campaign and worth a look for stable who landed this prize 12 months ago.
Lingfield novice winner on debut and useful form in defeat this year, matching his effort in the King George V at Royal Ascot when fourth in a 1¾m handicap back at that venue 19 days ago. Remains relatively low mileage, including at staying trips now taking on his elders for the first time.
Useful sort who made a winning reappearance at Lingfield in May and surpassed that form when third in Northumberland Plate next time. Not in same form either start since, weakening from 2f out when third of 4 at Goodwood (2m, heavy) 6 weeks ago. Return to all-weather can see him in a better light.
Unexposed on all-weather and well backed, he duly bolted up in 5-runner handicap at Southwell (2m) in July. Only eighth at York next time but not seen to best effect in Mallard handicap at Doncaster since and there's definitely a case for believing he's better on all-weather than turf.
Low-mileage 4-y-o who comes here in excellent form, finding himself in another tactical affair but coping well with it dropped in trip when successful in 6-runner handicap at Nottingham (1¾m, good) in April. Further progress not ruled out back from 6 months off.
Failed to go on over hurdles last year but made a successful return for new yard on Flat at Sandown in June. Disappointed next time but quickly back on track when third at Newmarket (2¼m) 32 days ago and fancied to go well returned to all-weather in refitted blinkers.
Has been suited by stepping up in trip, back to winning ways at Wolverhampton (1¾m) and also scoring by a wide margin at Southwell (16.5f) in September. Confirmed recent improvement despite finishing last of 5 in Ascot listed race 19 days ago but career-high mark to contend with back in handicap.
C&D winner who took advantage of his falling mark when making all in a small field at Ripon (2m, good) in September. Found things much tougher when well beaten in the Cesarewitch 11 days ago and whilst this is less demanding, others appeal more.
Fairly useful Flat winner who gained his biggest victory yet over hurdles when landing Sussex Champion Hurdle in April. Below best in 2 runs either side of finishing runner up in Summer Hurdle in July but he's not discounted back on Flat over longest trip he's faced.
Much improved for current yard with 6 wins since December, the latest at Lingfield in May. Failed to beat a rival both starts since, the latest at Goodwood coming on the back of a near 4-month absence. Will need to step up plenty on that from 6 lb out of the weights again minus the cheekpieces.

Level Look (3/1), Guildmaster (10/3), Boatswain (5/1), Real Dream (13/2), Hot Fuss (10/1), Synergism (10/1), Codiak (10/1), Indemnity (18/1), Brasil Power (22/1), Duraji (22/1), Roaring Legend (22/1), Squire Danagher (33/1), Sax Appeal (40/1), Arc Zoosve (66/1)
BOATSWAIN hasn't been disgraced on each of his last 2 starts on turf but there remains a definite case for believing he's better on all-weather than turf (2-3 on all-weather) and he could be worth siding with from an easing mark in an open-looking heat. Real Dream from his reduced mark, Ascot scorer Hot Fuss and the returning Codiak are others to consider.
