2YO only | Class 4 | 1m | 7 Runners | Polytrack

Age: 2| Weight: 9-9| J: R Havlin| T: J & T Gosden| OR: 85

Needed experience when beaten favourite on debut and different proposition when holding on gamely at Sandown (7f, good to soft) just 9 days later. Found out in a warm conditions race at Newbury since but retains potential with handicaps in mind. Hooded first time.

Arctic Tsar¹⁴

Age: 2| Weight: 9-7| J: Rossa Ryan| T: C G Cox| OR: 83| C

Has left his 6f qualifying runs well behind in 7f nurseries, scoring at Leicester and here last month. Had lots to spare at this venue and looks sure to make a bold bid for the hat-trick up in trip despite a 12 lb hike.

Form: 86611

Rupert The Brave³⁰

Age: 2| Weight: 9-6| J: Marco Ghiani| T: Oliver Cole| OR: 82

Progressive son of Phoenix Of Spain who ran well in a first-time tongue strap (off now) when third of 9 in 7f course novice 30 days ago, forcing a brisk gallop and losing out only late on. Nursery debut.

Form: 933

Noble Prince^p¹⁹

Age: 2| Weight: 9-6| J: Billy Loughnane| T: C Appleby| OR: 82| BF

Frankel colt who was sent off favourite for his 1m Haydock nursery debut last month with cheekpieces added (retained) but could only match his previous form, although a slow start on the back of his blindfold being removed late offers some mitigation.

Form: 4223

(2)

My A'ali Baba⁵⁵

Age: 2| Weight: 9-4| J: Finley Marsh| T: P D Evans| OR: 80

Successful in strongly-run 6f event at Chepstow on debut but has found life tougher since.

Form: 153059

(4)

Lady Caroline Lamb⁸³

Age: 2| Weight: 9-2| J: J Mitchell| T: C Johnston| OR: 78

Built on 7f course debut third to win a 7.5f Beverley novice in June. Not up to listed company at Sandown in July but retains unexposed potential back from a break with 1m likely to suit.

Form: 317

(7)

Magical Life¹⁶

Age: 2| Weight: 8-2| J: Isobelle Chalmers⁽⁷⁾| T: J S Moore| OR: 56| CD

Gained a first success in C&D nursery in August but the handicapper has been winning the argument since and she's easy to oppose in this higher grade.

Form: 314366

Forecasts

Arctic Tsar (13/8), Noble Prince (4/1), Rupert The Brave (5/1), Algaihabane (5/1), Lady Caroline Lamb (6/1), Magical Life (16/1), My A'ali Baba (25/1)

ARCTIC TSAR had so much in hand last time that even a 12 lb rise may not stop him. Noble Prince has looked consistent rather than progressive so far but may still provide the chief threat ahead of Rupert The Brave, who has contested decent maiden/novice events the last twice.
