Developed into a smart performer in 2025, successful twice in handicaps either side of a second in the Royal Hunt Cup. Lightly raced this year and looks to be peaking at just the right time, posting good second in bid to follow up last year's York victory at the Ebor Meeting 3 weeks ago. Big shout.

Smart performer who won a 9f handicap at Epsom in June. Mixed bag subsequently, left poorly placed in Golden Mile at Goodwood and possible an 8-day turnaround caught him out when seventh at Ascot (1m) 5 weeks ago. Return to easier ground may well help now.

Regular in high-end handicaps, successful twice over 1m last season and hard to knock his consistency in defeat since, posting a fine fourth in Royal Hunt Cup in June. Flying too high in Goodwood Group 2 on latest start 2 weeks ago and whilst this is more suitable, he's yet to defy a mark this high.

Enjoyed a productive campaign at 3 yrs, his 4 wins including a valuable event at York (1m). Better for return when second at Newmarket (9f) in May and shaped as if still in good form despite not being ideally placed when mid-field in Royal Hunt Cup in June. Has gone well fresh before.

Without a win since listed success in November 2023 but largely running with credit in high-end handicaps this summer, recording a good third at York (1m) on penultimate start in July. Latest run back there easily overlooked (blindfold not removed in time) but others look to hold stronger claims.

Winless since debut back in 2021 but has still reached a smart level. However, well held on Sandown reappearance in June and absent for a further 91 days since. Feasibly handicapped (second off 2 lb higher in this race last season) but others are more obvious.

Much improved this season, winning the Spring Mile over C&D in good style and value for extra when also landing the Buckingham Palace Stakes (7f) at Royal Ascot. Unsuited by how the race panned out in the International at Ascot last time and worth keeping on side.

Sea The Stars colt who landed a valuable prize at Carlisle (1m) in May. Had worst of the draw in Britannia at Royal Ascot and has quickly resumed progress since, building on his Goodwood third when making all and scoring unchallenged at York (1m) 3 weeks ago. Possibilities despite 8 b rise.

Returned from 11 months off (also gelded) with a good second at Chepstow in May and proved dominant when bolting up at Newbury (1m, firm) in June. Ran another solid race when fifth behind Mezcala in Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot in June but this may again be hard to dominate.

Low-mileage 4-y-o who was much better than bare result on back of a breathing operation in Royal Hunt Cup/Golden Mile this summer. Took too long to hit full stride under more patient ride than previously this year when third at Newbury (7f) latest and suspicion remains he has a bigger effort in him.

Smart form at best in Australia, runner-up in 1¼m Group 1 at Randwick in October 2024. Has essentially looked in the grip of the handicapper following switch to these shores this summer but had excuses (posted wide) when down the field at Chester 3 weeks ago. Still, others look stronger.

Confirmed abundant promise of his Chester reappearance when landing highly-competitive Britannia at the Royal Meeting in June. Seen only twice since, running right up to his best taking on his elders for the first time when second back at Ascot 8 days ago. Fully expected to go well again.

Has recorded all 4 wins on the all-weather at Newcastle but produced best turf effort when second of 11 at Ascot in May. Couldn't repeat that at the Royal Meeting the following month and was only eighth eased in grade at Newmarket (1m) 4 weeks ago. Others stronger.

Smart sort at best but not won since 2024 and not returned from a stint in Australia in much form, running no sort of race having a rare all-weather start at Newcastle (1m) in June. Absent since.

Dual winner during a steadily progressive 2024. However, seen only 4 times for William Haggas last season, absent since finishing mid-field in the Cambridgeshire (9f) this time last year. Betting can guide now starting out for new yard with the return to 1m a positive.

4-y-o who is thriving on his racing, finding another chunk of improvement as he made it 3 wins from his last 4 starts in 19-runner York handicap (1m) 6 days ago, asserting close home. Escapes a penalty for that and whilst this is much tougher it's significant his leading yard pitch him in here.

Made winning debut in novice at Newcastle (7f) in November. Lightly raced since and he stepped up considerably on his turf debut/reappearance effort in July when fifth at Newmarket (7f) 5 weeks ago, doing good late work at the finish. Step up to 1m worth exploring with cheekpieces now enlisted.

No shortage of chances in a cracking handicap but thriving 4-y-o INSPIRED escapes a penalty for last week's York success and can cope with the rise in class and make it 4 wins from his last 5 starts. Britannia scorer Moonfall ran right up to his best when second back at Ascot last time and he's feared. William Haggas pair Bullet Point and Scoville are others to consider, with Blue Courvoisier and Fifth Column completing an exhaustive shortlist.
