Much improved in recent weeks, making it a hat-trick of seconds in handicap company at Ayr in July prior to finally going one better in a 10-runner handicap at Thirsk (6f, good) 29 days ago. Scored comfortably there and can go well again now switched to tapeta.

Scored over C&D and at Southwell on first 2 starts this year. Has found life harder on turf since and again a bit below his best returned at Lingfield 3 weeks ago, so others make greater appeal at present.

Won 6f Carlisle novice last summer and ran well in 7f Haydock nursery on final juvenile outing. Didn't make much of an impact on return/yard debut (formerly trained by Kevin Ryan) at Hamilton in May and is opposable after another 101 days off.

Has made all in fast-ground handicaps at Wetherby (5.5f) and Ayr (5f) this summer, the latter success gained under today's rider Elle-May Croot. Shaped as if still in good form having set a sound pace when third of 7 in handicap (11/4) at Lingfield (5f, all-weather) 16 days ago. Respected.

Lightly-raced sort who ran his best race when close third at Thirsk (6f, good) in June. Unsuited by a drop to 5f here next time but again failed to back up that Thirsk effort when eighth of 10 in handicap (14/1) at Carlisle (7f, firm) 58 days ago.

Fair maiden for Ed Walker. Posted a good third at Wolverhampton (7f) on yard bow in May but below form both outings since and looks tough to assess at present.

Has taken his form up a notch in handicaps this season, making the frame first 3 outings including when edged out only close home at Beverley in May. Quickly back to form despite racing freely when fourth of 12 in handicap at this course (5f) 36 days ago. Player with hood back on.

Showed improved form to go close on turf/handicap debut at Thirsk (6f) and looked ready for a step up in trip when 2¾ lengths fifth at Doncaster subsequently. Reportedly in season when last of 10 at Doncaster last month.

Produced her best effort on final outing last year when third of 9 in nursery at Nottingham in October. Shaped better than the result having endured a horror passage when ninth of 12 in handicap at this course (5f, 33/1) 36 days ago. Not one to write off at a likely big price.

Made the frame 2 of first 3 starts this season, before meeting trouble when fifth of 13 at Thirsk in June. However, below form both starts since so will need to bounce back now sporting first-time blinkers.

Made all to open his account in a 7f Redcar handicap in May. Much sharper for the fitting of first-time cheekpieces when career-best second (clear of rest) at Leicester (6f) in July but too keen to see his race out when sixth of 8 in handicap at Carlisle (6f, good to soft) 17 days ago.

Maiden whose 5 outings for Clive Cox came on the all-weather, shaping well when narrowly denied at Kempton in March. Subsequently sold for 24,000 gns but hasn't made any impact in 2 starts for this yard. Has since been gelded and tongue strap is back on.

Made his second handicap start a winning one when making all over 5f here in June. Nearest at the finish dropped back to that trip when fifth of 12 here 36 days ago and holds place claims returned to 6f.

Won 2 of 3 starts as a juvenile (including at C&D) and posted her best effort this season from a much reduced mark when fourth of 7 in handicap (14/1) at Carlisle (7f, good to firm) 25 days ago. Now needs to back that up.
