(5)

Clementines Star²⁹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-9| J: Cieren Fallon| T: D & C Kubler| OR: 69| BF| D

8/1

Front runner improved to get off the mark in 7f maiden at Thirsk (7f) in July. Evens, not best drawn (beaten by 2 that raced closest to stands rail) when a solid third of 7 in handicap at Chepstow (7f, good to firm) 29 days ago. Remains one to be interested in.

Form: 33-3213

(1)

Toralou²⁴

Age: 5| Weight: 9-9| J: J Mitchell| T: D M Loughnane| OR: 65

14/1

Opened her account in a 1m Musselburgh maiden last August but proved inconsistent since, only seventh of 9 in handicap at Hamilton (1m, good to firm) 24 days ago. Others are more convincing.

Form: 7-77267

Cypriot Diaspora⁷^{(ex 5)}

Age: 5| Weight: 9-7| J: Callum Rodriguez| T: B R Millman| OR: 58| D

15/8

Capitalised on a reduced mark in 8-runner handicap at Ffos Las (7.4f, good to soft) a week ago. Saddles a 5 lb penalty but another bold showing is on the cards.

Form: 863241

(9)

Gelato³¹

Age: 3| Weight: 9-6| J: Gina Mangan| T: A Wintle| OR: 66| D

28/1

Much improved on second run for new yard with ready breakthrough success in 7f handicap at Ffos Las in June. Disappointing under less testing conditions over 1m there since, though, not for the first time looking wayward under pressure.

Form: 079-615

(10)

Light The Night Up¹¹

Forecasts

Cypriot Diaspora (15/8), Homestrait (9/2), Pickersgill (7/1), Imelda (15/2), Magic Music (8/1), Clementines Star (8/1), Folkene (9/1), Light The Night Up (9/1), Dream Illusion (9/1), Toralou (14/1), Only Dream Big (16/1), Gelato (28/1)

This is wide open but it could pay to side with CLEMENTINES STAR who had looked on the up until not seen to best effect from a poor draw when third on her handicap bow at Chepstow. Recent Ffos Las scorer Cypriot Diaspora rates a big threat under a penalty though, while Dream Illusion, Imelda and Gelato can all play a prominent role too.
