Winless since debut in 2024 but had a couple of excuses at York and with a visor back on, he found only one too good eased in class at Hamilton 3 weeks ago. Has to be of interest.
Building a very solid handicap record and he readily gained a deserved victory in 8-runner event at Newbury (6f) in June. Race didn't go his way at Ripon a week later but yard could be in better form ahead of this return.
Plenty of good efforts last season, scoring at Doncaster prior to signing off with a good fifth in the Bronze Cup at Ayr. Posted best effort this term when second of 17 back at Ayr (6f, good to firm) in July and wasn't far off that level at Hamilton 3 weeks ago.
Peaked when landing big-field C&D handicap from 3 lb higher last spring. Shaped well a few times after and fresh for this time of year, he looks very interesting returned to this venue.
Veteran who took advantage of drop in grade when successful at Ayr (6f, heavy) last autumn. Close to that form when second of 21 at York (6f, good to firm) in June and freshened up since a lesser effort back at Ayr in July. Any easing of the ground wouldn't inconvenience him.
Didn't kick on from a highly promising start as a 2-y-o and similar story following a good reappearance third at Pontefract in 2 subsequent starts for Karl Burke. Switched yards for 58,000 gns in July and never a factor from a wide draw at Chester.
Four-time all-weather winner for Ismail Mohammed but proved mostly disappointing for new yards since.
Last success came on all-weather in December 2024. Yet to hit stride in a light 2026 but he should be at peak fitness now and assessor has given him every chance.
Dual winner on all-weather earlier this year but yet to score on turf and was never a factor at Musselburgh when last seen in April.
Back-to-back winner at Newcastle early in the year and has been shaping up quite well, second home on his side in a competitive handicap at Ripon 3 weeks ago. One to take very seriously from the same mark.
Just about better than ever when second over 6f at Chester on first run following a breathing operation in June. Creditable third of 9 at Doncaster a week later and he's a threat if returning from a break in the same form.
Not straightforward but found things panning out ideally when opening his account for present yard over 6f at Doncaster (heavy) last autumn. Yet to fully fire this season but well weighted as a result and the ground has now come in his favour.
Built on debut promise to gamely land 10-runner maiden at Thirsk (7f, good) in June. Has more to offer now going into handicaps so he's very much the unknown quantity here.
Scored in 6f Chester novice last season, though has generally struggled in handicaps/listed races since with her mark easing. Others are more persuasive.

Forecasts
Kodi Lion (7/2), Lord Bertie (5/1), Milford (11/2), Territorial Knight (6/1), Woven (7/1), Wild Clary (15/2), Never Just A Dream (9/1), Ran Amok (14/1), Tip Foster (20/1), Trust Amy (25/1), Grant Wood (25/1), Cargin Bhui (40/1), Reciprocated (40/1), Coachello (50/1)
Competitive stuff but KODI LION can boast a very positive Haydock record and now 3 lb below his last winning mark, he looks weighted to strike with Fallon taking over. Grant Wood shaped well at Ripon last time so demands respect, while handicap debutant Tip Foster brings a different profile to the table.
- Kodi Lion7/2
- Grant Wood25/1
- Tip Foster20/1
